It’s hard to find a good seafood platter these days but the Lighthouse doesn’t disappoint. Delicious selection of quality seafood, exceptional service and a beautiful view overlooking the water. Couldn’t ask for more. We also frequent the take away fish & chippery and devour our dinner on a picnic rug if we’re after a more casual setting with the kids. Best fish and chips we’ve found in a long while and very reasonably priced.

Dined at The lighthouse on Sunday and ordered a chicken burger w/fries and a raspberry spider. The burger was juicy and absolutely delicious, chips were cooked to perfection. As much as I’d love to keep raving about how delicious this burger was because seriously, take my word for it. A couple notes, I did find a few bones in my meal, happens in food service all the time so there really nothing to say except it was just a bit unexpected. I waited patiently for my raspberry spider, unfortunately I feel like the restaurant might have lost my docket. After a bit over 25 minutes I decided to talk to a staff member, he was on it like the wind. No complaints here. The atmosphere is lovely enough to not worry about where everything is. Last thing I’d like to say is that when finishing my meal, a staff member took my plate just as I was finishing and my drink with it. Now I know this is probably just me, but I was saving that lovely last bit of my spider. I felt a little saddened by this and decided to leave shortly after. Overall, this is possibly the loveliest spot by the point and definitely worth your while. The staff are attentive and lovely, views are fantastic and the chicken burger is the best I’ve tasted. I’ll be back 🙂

I went there by myself, so I couldn’t eat a lot and ended up ordering only small plates.
The atmosphere was really nice and the staff were all super lovely!
The meat wasn’t very tender, so it wasn’t that good… but since it’s a seafood restaurant, I guess that’s understandable
I could only try the oysters and prawns — I wanted to try white fish and other dishes too, but the portions seemed a bit big for one person, so I couldn’t.
I’d love to go again with friends next time

Great location, great food (except Greek salad), please teach your waiters to recognise when there are still oysters in the shell, I had 2 seperate waiting staff try and take my plate with 3 oysters remaining, they’re expensive enough, the Greek salad should have ripe tomatoes and Greek fetta cheese, that was Persian Fetta. Overall I’ll be back.

Every single staff member we interacted with was smiling, helpful, and knowledgeable. Service timing was perfect. The waiter and waitresses were respectful in their approach when they noticed we were deep in conversation at our table and waited the perfect amount of time to check back in. The waitresses were able to give suggestions and recommendations, and were very attentive while managing not to hover. The service was only exceeded by the food. I had the barramundi and then the Creme Brulee, both were absolutely beautiful. I live on the Gold Coast and would happily drive back your way again. I will also highly recommend to others. Thank you for such an enjoyable experience!

Beautiful view, but underwhelming and overpriced food…
Linguine had no sauce, so it was very dry pasta with chilli flakes for the barest hint of flavour. Prawns were beautiful, but the bugs were a let down.
My partners steak was unseasoned and barely warm. Medium rare at one end, medium well at the other. Confit potatoes undercooked, he only had one bite and left them.
Not once after our order was placed were we approached to see if we needed more drinks or if we would like to order dessert… eventually we just wandered over to the reception area, assuming we must have to pay there.
$216 for 2 mains and 2 drinks, would have still been a disappointing meal at half that price.

The Lighthouse cafe is a lovely place to have a coffee ☕️ while overlooking the waterfront at Cleaveland. The coffee was burnt and could have been better. The pastries were nice and fresh. I visited on a Sunday morning and the cafe was packed. It can be quite a wait to get a table.

Fresh Seafood and Stunning Views, but the Quest for the Perfect Sides Continues!
Always a nice day out with the girls at Raby Bay! We visited The Lighthouse Restaurant recently, and as someone who is always on the hunt for the “God-Tier” seafood platter, I have some thoughts.
The Highlight: Freshness & Scenery
The seafood here is undeniably fresh. From the chilled prawns and oysters to the bugs and crab, you can taste the quality in every bite. The platter is beautifully presented on those tiered stands, making it a real centerpiece for the table. Plus, sitting right on the water with that breeze? You can’t beat the atmosphere for a long lunch.
The “Platter Philosophy” Check
I’m a firm believer that a perfect seafood platter needs thoughtful sides to compliment the star of the show—and I’m not talking about a mountain of hot chips!
* The Good: The seafood isn’t buried in grease, and the flavors are clean and bright.
* The “Almost”: While the sides here are good and definitely better than your average chippy, they haven’t quite reached that “perfect” status for me yet. I’m still looking for those unique, vibrant accompaniments that truly elevate the fresh catch to the next level.
Final Verdict: A fantastic spot for a girls’ lunch and high-quality, fresh seafood. It’s a 10/10 for vibes and freshness, even if my hunt for the ultimate side-dish pairing continues!

I held my wedding solemnization, followed by dinner with family and friends of less than 20pax. The food ordered from the Banquet option was perfect – everyone loves it. Atmosphere was beautiful and as we thought it will be hot, the breeze from the shores gave a perfect feel of the entire atmosphere. Most importantly, I want to thank Zuniga – my event coordinator – who has been brilliant and exceptional in her customer service and has tremendously helped me so much as it’s not easy to organize and communicate for an important event when I’m not locally based in Brisbane. She made sure that every detail and requests I’ve asked for are met perfectly. I also want to give a shout out to Scott – the waiter – who’s on charge of serving us for the night. Thank you so much for making the event special and memorable.

The sirloin was excellent — perfectly cooked to a juicy medium rare.
The personal seafood platter was also impressive: the fried fish had a wonderfully fragrant crust, and the flesh was delicate and flavorful.
Surprisingly, the fried calamari was actually springy — quite rare in Australia!
The prawns and crab were a bit salty, and their shells were slightly tricky to peel.
The view and atmosphere were great, though it gets quite windy at night.
If you’re sensitive to cold or lightly dressed, I’d recommend sitting indoors.
