I was visiting for work and came upon this place! I’ve only ever had frozen custard from culvers; but this place was something different! They had so many options. Their banana cream pie custard was delicious and addictive.

Giving 2 stars because I can’t take away from the fact that their custard is good. But IMO food there is a rip off.

this was an almost $10 chicken sandwhich. there was a mere few oz of chicken the patty was not only tin but small and didn’t even fill the bun.

no option to upgrade to a meal only sides and entrees sold separately no kids meals or deals. no refills on soda when you dine there. will not be returning for food

I tried Kopps in Greenfield, I didn’t go back for years until today I decided to go to the Brookfield location at opening. I was presented a fabulously quality diner burger. The fries were as perfect as they could be. The price was a little high but I felt like the quality was there.

I will be home, maybe it was just a difference between coming when it was busy compared to opening, but you could really taste to burger

I’ve been going to kopps since I was a kid with my family. And with the hot weather lately I’ve taken my kids a lot recently. Normally they do a great job but tonight the guy who made cookies in cream seemingly purposely served straight vanilla with just a dusting of oreo residue. I noticed this for my two scoops in a dish and asked for extra Oreos in a cup and guy gave me a dish with several Oreo chunks but not enough for the deficit on two scoops but I thanked him the left. I also had ordered a pint to go and didn’t realize until I was half way home that he probably didn’t put any Oreos in that too. But I finished my drive and instead of giving it to my kids poured it into a bowl to confirm that it was vanilla ice cream with a dusting of Oreo residue. Drove all the way back to let a manager know and get a refund. He said he would talk to the guy and offered to replace the pint with one that he would make really good so I opted to do that and my kids loved it. Only leaving this review to help the company know about this experience and to make sure to weed out bad apples who don’t care about their jobs. I have a hard time not thinking that this was intentional. There was a big bucket full of Oreos and this guy chose to barely put any in a very large amount of ice cream. If every employee served flavors like this kopps would go out of business. Thankfully almost all of their employees does a great job and this is probably the only bad experience that I had but it did waste a lot of my time since i had ordered to go and got all the way home before realizing the issue. In the photos you can see the pint poured out into a bowl where I searched for Oreos and only found one small piece. The other is my two scoops where the base of the ice cream literally came right out of the machine.

Delicious, efficient, institution, highly recommend.

Kopps frozen custard needs no introduction or hype as this is a beloved Wisconsin staple and legend. Favorite to many and rival to some as Kopps is one of a handful of fast food burger custard options in this beloved state for many decades. Some can say time has thrown obstacles into the kitchen, such as a change in buns, but I am here to put your stomach at ease: quality and deliciousness was and remains on the menu.

Ambiance at each location varies, but the quality of the burger is always delivered. Order and pickup at a counter with indoor and outdoor seating available.
What to expect is a flat but large juicy burger cooked to perfection best paired with crunchy salted fries.
Another favorite is the shakes and ice cream.
Various flavors of ice cream, including flavors of the day and take-home pints available.

Buon Appetito, Piatto Pulito

We swung by while being nearby. We ordered takeout.

Initially after walking in, I noticed the lay out was very interesting.

You walk in and it’s an ordering hall. And no seating area. There’s a separate area for sitting. Which I found interesting.

My order was ready, the gal put our ice cream order right then and there. So we got it freshly made!

We ordered food for ourselves and our kids.
On their menu, they don’t necessarily have a kids menu.
But we chose grilled cheese sandwiches for our kids.

I myself, got a hamburger (I added all the toppings I usually go for- lettuce, onion, tomato, pickles, ketchup).
My burger was delicious. It was also MASSIVE. Which I’m definitely not going to complain about.

My husband went with the buffalo chicken sandwich. I stole a bite- it was very tasty! He loved it.

The kids loved their grilled cheese sandwiches. They were full sized, so keep that in mind if ordering for kids.

We also got fries. Which I do have to say, were nothing extravagant and not my favorite. They weren’t crunchy, just kind of floppy with no shape.
I personally prefer a crispy French fry- but that’s just me!

Ending strong with a two scoop dish of the flavor of the day: Ultimate Cookie Dough.

That did NOT disappoint. The texture and the taste was to die for. So so good.

Needless to say, if we are ever in the area, we will definitely be back. I’ll probably skip the fries but definitely get ice cream.

I recommend!

We’ve been going here for 3 generations. Worth the drive for a special burger! Love their service & efficiency! Eat in or take it to go! Seating outside when weather is nice. Dessert is classic custard. Some of the best in Wisconsin. Lots of reasons to go & buy a gift card for someone.

My parents wanted to go to a good burger place in the Milwaukee area so I suggested Kopps. Quick service and good burgers and custard are what they’re known for. I ordered the double cheeseburger with the works, french fries, and a pineapple malt. The burgers are big and a little sloppy but they are juicy and filling. The French fries are good as well. My dad got the onion rings and I liked those. The pineapple malt was excellent. Loved the bits of pineapple with the smooth custard. A couple other things: If it’s your first time, just know, seating inside isn’t guaranteed. We had to wait for a table to open up and sit on a bench eating until that happened. Also, the bathrooms leave something to be desired. A lot of traffic in there so I can understand it’s hard to keep up on the maintenance in there but it wasn’t great. Also, my dad thought the burger was under-seasoned. I didn’t have that experience but he did.

I ordered a regular size hot fudge sundae with pecans. When it came time to pay, I saw an up charge for hot fudge. The menu board (see photo of menu board) did not indicate any up charge for hot fudge compared to any other sundae topping. Not a big charge but… When I received the sundae at the counter, it seemed small. I turned around a moment after I got it to ask if it was a “regular” size. The next employee to come to that counter told me it WAS regular size. I get sundaes here but…. The Custard barely reached the top of the dish. The amount of custard in the dish was approximately the same amounts as my daughter’ single dish and way less than my other daughter’s double scoop. For $8.40, a big disappointment.
