Son’s Birthday meal. Went on a Saturday night and had an an 7pm sitting had booked a few weeks in advance. Arrived a bit early and had to wait while they got the table ready so stood at the bar which was lovely, haven’t been since the extension and we were pleasantly surprised. Seated very quickly and introduced to our Server who was a wonderful gentleman called Brian. Brian was very attentive to the table and our requests and needs all night, nothing was ever too much trouble. He explained the ordering process which can be quite confusing if you have never eaten at Brix & Bones before. Our food was amazing and we enjoyed all of our courses. Brian also chose a wonderful bottle of Red wine to have with our meal. Thank you to everyone at Brix & Bones for the fantastic night. Just a small point an earlier evening booking is recommended because the steak choices once chosen will then be crossed off the board for that sitting (ie different weights, cuts and aged steak). That said there is plenty of steak and we did not have to compromise on our choices and we were a table of five.

Once again thank you to Chefs servers and all at Brix & Bones

After several cocktails down in The Gonzo we decided on a wim to book a table here for a birthday treat and so glad we did.

We were warmly welcomed and sat right in front of the Chef.
The Chef was extremely welcoming & passionate about the concept & talked us through what was available as well as discussing and recommending some amazing Blythburgh pork.
As a former butcher myself & now someone that has their own food & hospitality business and is also passionate about local produce it was a breath of fresh air to find a destination that really takes pride in their produce & service.
There were at least 4 check backs and as I’d mentioned it was my birthday I was made to feel pretty special.

We had pork & venison with a few side, which will all incredible & flavoursome.

We will definitely return & as I live by the Suffolk coast and encounter a lot of tourists looking for great food destinations I wont hesitate to recommend Brix & Bones, definitely be returning.

Thanks for making my birthday one I will definitely not forget a special mention to an extremely knowledgeable, passionate & talented Chef.

I had my first visit to Brix and bone last night as a birthday treat. I didn’t know what to expect but had heard good things. I was enchanted. From the antlers as chandeliers to the foraged ingredients. We had booked to sit at the counter so we had a view and not the kitchen. The menu is small which I prefer ( a little done to perfection) than a long list I can’t decide between. The beef cuts are listed on chalk board and when sold are marked off. The service was exemplary. I will definitely be going back.

Dining at B&B was a real treat. The layout, decor, etc., makes it feel really special. Obviously, this place is about meat – having refrigerators on show displaying it curing is really cool!
The menu only has a few options, which is the sign of a confident restaurant – all of which is cooked fresh in their stylish kitchen.
We have a few allergies – staff went through this with me when booking, and ran further checks on the day. Once seated they went through the highlighted menu, showing what they’d recommend (they even tweaked a few aspects of the menu to suit)!
The food itself was delicately presented. Each dish/ingredient was cooked and tasted beautiful, and everything worked so well.
We’ll be back!

Was taken here by my partner and was blown away by the high quality food and remarkable service! Not one bad thing to say about this restaurant, the food is cooked to perfection and the menu offers a variety of delicious options. Will be back again, the atmosphere was the cherry on top for me!

Entering the building through a shared door with a nightclub I wasn’t sure if I was lost but the very polite bouncer assured me I was in the right place. We scored a corner table which we were grateful for, to people watch and get a sense for Norwich. Service was excellent, and we sensed we were in for something special once they crossed our cut of 78 day matured hereford beef from the chalk board. Nothing disappointed, from the creative and perfectly executed small plates to the perfectly prepared steak and puddings. We would be back sooner if only we lived closer.

Great steak. Great red wine. Unique dishes such as mutton taco and bone marrow fudge doughnut (red miso cabbage- omg!) Amazing service, shout out to Bryan for looking after us, he was fantastic! Being gluten free then menu was super friendly and chefs were accommodating to GFO options. If you’re at x2 definitely do the counter experience.

We had booked a table for two on the occasion of my birthday, but didn’t really know what to expect. At first, we couldn’t actually find the place, despite being guided by Google maps, because it’s tucked away on the first floor of a building and with only a rather non-descript sign outside.
When entering the building, we were asked whether we had a reservation, and when going upstairs and entering the place, it became clear that they don’t really need to advertise their presence outside, as it clearly seems hugely popular amongst people who know about it. In a way, it felt like entering a VIP club…
The restaurant is much smaller than I had anticipated, and at first we felt a bit disappointed at being led to a small high table in the centre of the room. But when we realised what a special place it is, all hint of a disappointment instantly vanished.
Meat cannot be selected from an ordinary menu, but must be ordered off handwritten boards, and there is only a very limited number of each cut, clearly labelled from which farm they come from. It’s all about local produce, quality and presentation.
This is a very special place, very different from ordinary steak houses, and it turned out to be the perfect place for my birthday meal!
