Established in 1966, Chip’s Family Restaurant creates a warm, friendly atmosphere that makes you feel like you’ve known us for years when you walk through our doors. We believe in quality food and excellent service. Everything is homemade and our pancakes are the lightest you’ll ever taste and you can have them for any meal since we serve breakfast all day long. There is something for everyone’s appetite, including healthy options as well as a gluten free menu. Our lunch and dinners include everything from soups and salads to delicious paninis and even three course dinners. We are community oriented and believe in giving back to local charities and organizations. Come visit out Orange and Fairfield locations!

During my recent business trips to Orange, I had the pleasure of dining at Chip’s Family Restaurant. Their pancakes are consistently outstanding, particularly the fruit-topped varieties. I have sampled the cinnamon roll pancakes, which feature a cinnamon batter and frosting, the strawberry shortcake pancakes with strawberry compote, and the patriot pancakes, which incorporate fruit within the batter and are topped with strawberries, blueberries, and bananas. Of these selections, the patriot pancakes were my preferred choice. The service provided was exceptional, and the staff demonstrated a high level of professionalism and attentiveness.

What a fabulous find while passing through town! The pancake selection is insanely fun and if you want a cozy place with great food, look no further. The staff is a pleasure, especially if you’re lucky enough to sit in Katherine’s section – she was the icing on the cake of a great start to our day!

Sabrina was wonderful! So sweet and professional. I hope we get her as a waitress again time we come for breakfast. Today we had the 2x2x2x2 eggs, bacon, sausage, hashbrowns (shredded, not the potato’s, I didn’t know shredded was an option so I’m so happy Sabrina mentioned that!!) and Cinnabon pancakes. My boyfriend had chocolate chip banana pancakes and eggs Benedict. We enjoyed our food as always. Chips is one of my favorite places!

So good we had to come back the next day. The breakfast here is incredible, however service was never better than mediocre at best. Reasonably priced, and dependable consistent food. Parking is easy and includes large outdoor seating!

The boys and I enjoyed a nice scrumptious meal after the gym. More styles of pancakes you could count, and a unique Cuban omelette worked out surprisingly well. Always have to get that choccy milk too.

We needed a good stopping point on our road trip up the East Coast and searched local breakfast places. This place hit all of our expectations and more! Very unique flavored pancakes – it was hard to make a choice! We ended up with the Pistachio Pancakes, the German Apple Pancakes, the Pineapple Upside Down Pancakes and then the Cubano Omelet (fluffy style). Everything was top-notch and our server Nikki took great care of us. We would certainly come back if we found ourselves in the area again!

What a great breakfast meal the day after Thanksgiving with my dad. We both got the 2x2x2x2 and the food was delicious. It’s hard to find good breakfast. This was not that…this was amazing breakfast. This is our go-to stop when road tripping to New York City. The staff are always helpful, the atmosphere is inviting and clean, and the pancakes can’t be beat. Their savory options are delicious too! This Chip’s has consistently provided pleasant, competently executed food. Breakfast foods seem to be their specialty, but I’ve enjoyed their dinner foods as well, especially the Salmon Florentine. Servers are friendly, and accommodating to special requests within reason. I have two young children and have always felt comfortable and welcomed here with them. The decor and seating are pleasant and comfortable as well.
