The food was good. Didn’t blow me out the water, but it was okay. Staff extremely friendly. Their sauces/salsas were interesting. I’m a foreign girl and my best friend was straight from Mexico so don’t presume my tastebuds aren’t accustomed to flavor. I will say their portions are fairly large, for the price you pay i would hope so. But i dont know. There was just something about the flavors that i wish there was more of. The restaurant was very decorated and festive. Fun place.

“Absolutely loved this spot! The atmosphere is vibrant and authentic. Jorge was our server, really nice and polite. We started with the chips and salsa—fresh, warm, and spicy. Looking for a quick place to dine ended up at Puerto Vallarta in CT. This isn’t my first time going but it will be my last. The food is usually very tasty, never an issue until tonight. It seemed like the service was off. I ordered a drink to start and the drinks were good. I got The Love on fire and my sister had the mojito. When we ordered our food is where the issue took place and seemed to go downhill after. My sister requested the fajitas I requested the arroz Vallarta. I did not realize the arroz came with con queso on top of the meal. My fault the description is not in English and I overlooked that the cheese sauce would be mixed in my meal. It wasn’t bad but it’s not how I envisioned my meal. I was so hungry for a good steak but opted for this tempting trio rice dish. It has shrimp, chicken, and steak. It looked amazing when it came out but I couldn’t manage to get past all the clumps of cheese embedded in the meal. When I requested to have the dish removed off the tab I was denied by the waitress. I understand it’s my fault for not questioning how it’s prepared. I opted to box it but I know if I was the owner I wouldn’t want a dissatisfied customer; so, I requested to speak with a manager. He came promptly I explained my dislike for the dish, without hesitation he stated they’d remake it for me. I was hesitant as I never send anything back. Welp, I should’ve followed my instincts the dish didn’t look as well prepared as the first. The chicken looked pale, the steak wasn’t cooked well, there was very little slices unlike the first dish, overall it lacked in flavor. I was highly disappointed. I already felt bad sending the dish back I just muddled through it. I opted to try the dessert maybe go home with a treat I mean how can that go wrong I ordered flan to go per the waitress it’s “very good.” It’s a vanilla/chocolate mix. I got it to go I paid the max tip as again I felt bad sending the food and wanted to compensate for any trouble. I got home took out the flan only to find they gave me yesterday’s dessert. Oh well, I’m sure it was intentional. Overall I paid $86 in total. I won’t be returning I feel like I was punished for having a preference.
Thank you for your response. Let’s be clear—if your “desserts are prepared fresh daily,” then why was I served anything less than fresh flan? You see the photo. I was treated unfairly in your establishment, and I have every reason to question what happened to my food once it was remade in the back. You cannot correct poor character, but you can hold your employees accountable. Expired items have no business coming out of your kitchen, and food presentation should always reflect top-tier standards without exception. There’s no way to make this right on my behalf, however, for your prospective patrons – do better~

We came to Puerto Vallarta for my brother’s birthday, and honestly, the experience was underwhelming. Not only did the restaurant fail to acknowledge the occasion with any complimentary dessert, drink, or even a simple “happy birthday,” but when our steak dishes arrived, Gerardo, our waiter, failed to bring our steak knives, which is basic dining service.
Furthermore, the women’s bathroom also needs serious attention. The cleanliness and lingering odor were unacceptable in a restaurant environment. It’s something management should prioritize right away, as it impacts the entire dining experience.
Most restaurants I have visited for my birthdays go out of their way to make the experience memorable with an “on the house” treat or at least some acknowledgment. Puerto Vallarta Orange completely missed that opportunity!
Maybe this is just how things are done in Connecticut, but if so, I’d encourage the management to consider adding a small birthday courtesy. It goes a long way in making guests feel appreciated and increasing their likelihood of returning for future celebrations—just a thought. Happy dining, everyone!

Our server Didier was absolutely fantastic! He and the rest of the crew were very accommodating and welcoming! The food was amazing too!
