We’ve been to Playa del Carmen several times, but this was our first time at The Sonora Grill. I can’t believe we didn’t eat here sooner. The food was amazing. The service was superb. Huge shout out to Ezekiel and Nancy who served our table. They were excellent! Recommend the Beef Wellington and Mixed Ceviche. So delicious.

We had an amazing dinner at Sonora Grill Playa del Carmen — hands down one of the best meals of our trip! The food was phenomenal from start to finish. We started with the Octopus Chicharrón and Melted Cheese Tacos, and even my picky eater (who never orders appetizers) couldn’t get enough.
For entrées, we tried the Beef Wellington, Countryside Skirt Steak, and Grilled Octopus — every single dish was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. We finished with the Cheesecake and Chocolate Red Velvet Cake, and both were absolutely delicious.
Our waiter, Ezequiel, was outstanding — friendly, attentive, and made us feel so welcome. The whole staff went above and beyond to make it a memorable night.
The atmosphere was such a vibe — elegant but lively, with a table-to-table magician and a drink cart mixing cocktails right in front of you. Whether you’re on a date, out with family, or celebrating with friends, Sonora Grill is the perfect spot. Highly recommend!

I don’t know how to describe this place. One of coolest -yes, food fancy, good, not more like as good. The prices is fare as well. Service inside of restaurant is nice, just need little bit more relax. Nice disain, toilet. BUT, please change staff in entré. The girls are young, beautiful, but they are 0 just for strip. Always on phone, no attention. Ones we just left, because of them.
