Not many food choices. Cheap price. You get what you pay. The MSG caused me headaches after the meal.

The food is just okay, while the service was helpful when we needed to move but they were lacking in taking care of the table, but it may be because there was so many people. The amount of people is probably due to the low price because i find it hard to believe it is for flavor, but I won’t be returning to this place. The floor was slippery (water and oil or grease) everywhere and the A/C was lacking, the tables were wiped down with a wet and oily (dirty) rag and all the tables had so much smudge marks. I felt like I was just eating in a cest pool. I couldn’t belive the fried rice just looked like white rice with mixed vegetables (nothing is fried and there seemed to be no seasoning). Also, the seating arrangements are terrible, in fact, the whole design is just bad from sitting to walking to and from the buffet. The Mongolian style barbecue was lacking compared to other Chinese buffets I have eaten at. I saw the shrimp was out so I asked the cook if they could get more and he told me it was out. I chose the beef and then I had to tell the guy to cook it longer because he tried to give me raw beef. Sadly, right before I left I noticed there was more shrimp. Again, it doesn’t matter, I won’t be back. The bathrooms are gross and broken and the servers were literally counting their tips on the table and laughing and joking as if they don’t have manners or standards. I think this place will get business because of the cheap price, so I got what I paid for. I remember watching someone clean their spoon with their finger under the rotating water for the ice cream scooper (not the restaurants fault) but it still seemed gross. It made me not want to eat ice cream. I didn’t not enjoy this experience so I will avoid this place if I am in the area looking to enjoy a meal.

I’ve been to a lot of a few buffet places, but this place takes the cake. The food is not good at all and I’ve been to a lot of cheap buffets and at least the food have flavor. I serve myself some beef ribs. Tell me why these people fried these beef ribs, and it taste like plastic. It doesn’t have any flavor at all, and it was hard to chew. The price may be cheap, but the food is not worth it at all. I wish they had more variety of food.

This place has changed names and management so many times. I like this new look of open space. The food selection is not that great, but the taste is not bad. I have an issue though when a Chinese restaurant messes up a noodle dish, that is a red flag for me. The Singaporean-style noodles was soggy and tasteless. I’m sorry. The hot tea was quite hot, I know my mom would be very happy with this. Otherwise sip slowly and at your own risk. I originally started the review with 2 stars but I gave it another chance and went for a second round with food choices I did not get at the first go. Chicken wings had a light and crispy batter and was still juicy inside- so good. Their charbroiled chicken was good. Cooked how I like it- charred. The seafood bake also good. For the dessert options- my fave was the sesame ball with red bean filling and fried plantains. The soft serve is minus the creamy texture, it’s actually icy. This was good with the fried sugar donut. Pizza was gummy, but dip it in the ice cream and it’s a whole new experience. Parking was adequate although I’ve experienced in the past it could get busy being that this is located in a plaza shared with many other businesses.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Hibachi Grill Buffet for the first time during my aunt’s birthday celebration, and I must say, it was a delightful experience! The variety of dishes available was impressive, catering to every palate in our group. From fresh sushi rolls to crispy spring rolls, each dish was more delicious than the last.
The highlight of our visit was undoubtedly the Mongolian BBQ. The ability to customize your dish with a variety of fresh ingredients and then watch it being expertly grilled right before your eyes added a personalized and entertaining touch to our meal. It was not only fun but also ensured that every bite was exactly to our liking.
Our server was exceptionally attentive, refreshing our drinks efficiently and always ensuring we had everything we needed without being intrusive. It’s rare to find such proactive and thoughtful service.
Overall, Hibachi Grill Buffet provided a fantastic dining experience that made my aunt’s birthday even more special. Whether you’re a fan of Asian cuisine or just looking for a place that offers a wide selection of quality food, Hibachi Grill Buffet should definitely be on your list. Five stars for an excellent meal and outstanding service!

I have been going to Hibachi for years but that will stop.
1- Food is mostly cold and when I serve myself from the “cooked” section of the buffet: Shrimp, broccoli and beef, and other items and go the grill section to make my food hot, the guy at the grill area has a very bad attitude. It’s not like there is any cross contamination going on or something.
2- Tipping is forced by your server who visits your table maybe twice, and will follow you to the cashier and wait until you leave a tip. I try to be a generous tipper and realize it’s hard work but dislike this new mandate. I will not tip if it’s forced and will tip if I feel I’ve been properly served and if it has been a pleasant experience; something that has been lacking from Hibachi!!!
I will be going to another Chinese buffet even it it requires a bit a travel

Food is delicious, but it is not warm enough. I wish it will be better if there is not much MSG on fried and fried . You must try sushi . Fried shrimp is good. Sweet and sour fish is good. The prices is reasonable for the food. $17.99 for all day Sat and Sun.

This buffet restaurant is near the Great China Supermarket in Garden Ave West Covina. The service is average, the environment is average, the air is not ventilated, the food is cold, and the price is affordable. Despite this, the competition is getting more and more fierce. If you don’t change your business strategy, you will be eliminated by the market. In the same mall, there is a large food court with a cleaner and more beautiful environment for customers to choose from.

Went there for lunch.
Food is tasteless.
Sushi rice is hard. Tastes like they have been sitting there for a long time.
Hot and sour soup with a huge chunk of tofu in it. I think they did not even bother to cut it.
I don’t think they care about their reputation. Very bad food. But this place is big and good for friends/family gatherings.
