You deserve something special and this is it. From the moment we arrived, we realized this would be an unforgettable experience. We selected the 5 course prix fixe menu with wine pairings. At arrival we were warmly greeted and offered a glass of sparkling wine. We were then given a tour of the lodge. What a beautiful setting where no detail has been overlooked. In fact, our only regret for the evening was not having booked one of the lodge rooms for the night. Afterwards we proceeded downstairs for the dinner. Megan and Chef weaved us through a culinary journey that we will not soon forget. Every course was meticulously created and presented in a way that blended perfectly with the lodge setting while still allowing the local ingredients to shine and be the stars of the show. And as expected, the wines paired wonderfully with each passing creation. This was an exceptional experience all around. Can’t wait to come back and next time stay the night or two. So get in your car and make the trip from wherever you are! You won’t be disappointed! And don’t forget the cookies. Don’t worry, they’ll pack one up for you to go.

My Fiance and I had the incredible luck, timing, and opportunity to visit Wit and Wisdom last Saturday. Georgia Stormfront blew out power an hour before our reservation and chef and his crew showed up and threw down in the middle of torrential rain, making a Michelin Star-worthy dinner by headlamp and iPhone light. Can’t speak highly enough to how perfectly cooked, crispy and juicy, the pork shoulder was. The crispy stuffed chicken was insane. The English pea soup was out of this world and classically unique. Beet salad just rocked. And my guy did artichoke heart in a way that’ll haunt me… so flippin good. It was also just honestly inspiring seeing the full kitchen and folks working at the lodge proper rally together in the middle of a storm to make a world class experience happen. If you’re thinking about visiting wit and wisdom quit the indecisiveness and place that reservation NOW.
