Just experienced a really great dinner at Lupe Tortilla in Katy, Texas. Exactly what I needed after a long, exhausting and stressful week. Our server Jackson, provided superb service and was very attentive to our group. The team behind the curtains prepared our food to perfection and everything tasted and looked fantastic. I had such a great experience thanks to Jose! From the moment I arrived, he was welcoming, polite, and very attentive. He took the time to make sure everything was done properly and that I was comfortable the whole time. It’s not easy to find people who truly care about their work and customers, but Jose definitely does. His professionalism, friendly attitude, and attention to detail really stood out. Highly disappointed as we placed an order tonight and received the wrong order twice. We specifically asked for if beef enchiladas were possible to be made in red sauce and the server told us it was possible. We drove over 20mins to pick up our food and get home only to find that it’s chicken enchiladas instead. I called and informed them the order was wrong he apologized and told me to come back as they would correct it. My husband picked it up this time and asked if it was beef they said yes. Only for us to get home and it’s literally just cheese and tortillas NO BEEF!!!! I always like Lupe Tortilla but I will not be returning to this location.

My family and I have always been huge fans of Lupe Tortilla, and after a long weekend of baseball, this was the perfect spot for our party of seven. Even though the restaurant was packed, the managers on duty, Freddie and Alex, went above and beyond by putting tables together on the patio so we could stay. The kids were thrilled, not only for the great food, but also because they had space to play while we waited.
Our server, Melanie, was attentive, friendly, and provided exceptional service. It turned into a wonderful evening with delicious food and a fun, welcoming atmosphere. Thanks again, Freddie, Alex, and Melanie! We’re already looking forward to our next visit!

First time to try their brunch. Very enjoyable food and service. The servers appear to help one another. That’s rare to find nowadays. Again, Fatima stopped by and said hello. She hasn’t only served us in the past yet she always find time to greet us. I should remember to ask for her in the future. The chilaquiles were fantastic. I asked for it to be as spicy as possible. It delivered. Because of the reputation of having fall off the bones rib, I ordered some to go.

Been to restaurants from this chain in Sugar Land and Sienna Plantation and near Greenway Plaza and along Katy Freeway. All those are consistently good, but this one is the opposite. Four of us went to this location at 5:00 p.m. last Friday. We were seated at a table that was large enough for four only if nobody ordered food. I had the Chicken Little entree and taste was horrible… chicken was undercooked no rice was served no black beans were offered. Others in our party of four had different dishes and all of us were disappointed because all of us have been to other Lupe Tortilla locations. I would avoid this one and go to any other location except this one. Three stars for service zero stars for food

Service was outstanding, so many helpful people on staff. Food was incredibly tasty and authentic. The combo fajitas were sizzling hot and delicious. Their original margaritas are spectacular and go down so easy! You feel like you’re sitting at someone’s dining table having an amazing dinner with family and friends. Can’t wait to go back.

We had a large group, including several toddlers and visitors from Minnesota. We had a fabulous time! The kids loved the play area. The food was fantastic–especially the beef fajitas. Service was exceptional. Our server was attentive and super-pleasant. The chaos that comes with a big group with kids didn’t faze her at all. (I wish I could remember her name. ) She checked in multiple times with both of our tables together sure we had what we needed. She truly made the dinner so enjoyable.

We stopped in this Sunday for an early dinner. The place is bright open and inviting for sure with loads of decor and style to look over. There was no wait and literally 20-30 people here as it was a couple hours after lunch and not quite dinner time yet so they were not busy. Short and abrupt we were seated and our server came by. He was short and to the point, we got drinks, ordered the appetizer, and a few minutes later we offered out dinner. The food came and it was good, fresh and tasty. We finished eating with empty water glasses. (only got the one original water from when we sat down) eventually he noticed the drinks and refilled them. Brought the check and was very nice and friendly when delivering the check. I have to say there are hundreds of Mexican restaurants in Houston and surrounding areas and this one just didn’t stack up to many others. We asked for some spicier sauce and he brought some jalapeno/cilantro sauce that we didn’t like and sent back right away. We are not picky but the first salsa they brought was spicier so we stick with that. Still charged us for extra salsa though which I thought was a bit odd. All in all we checked the box to experience the famous Lupe Tortillas, but ultimately found it didn’t stack up to many other go-to quality Mexican food restaurants close by.
