It’s important to note that they add a 15% service charge on top of your bill, but the servers only see about 1/4 of that. For this first visit, I started with the Fiji Louie Salad which is basically shrimp and crab, hard-boiled egg, beets, and a few other things in salad form, and I really enjoyed it. It was a large sized portion, so it was a great start to the meal. For my entrée, I chose the 16oz Prime Rib and honestly really liked it. It was cooked just as I ordered and I have zero complaints about it. I wish the horseradish sauce would’ve been a bit spicier but overall it was a really nice meal. I would definitely suggest to anyone searching for a dinner with great views or to any other local in the area.
The atmosphere is the real star. Old celebrity photos line the walls with genuinely impressive and recognizable faces. Feeding the fish is a must and adds to the playful, nostalgic vibe. There’s a gumball style machine for the fish food in the lobby that takes quarters. The decor is completely over the top in the best way. The cocktails are phenomenal.
There’s often a photographer who takes your photo and sells you a printed copy. It is always a giggle, and even though we are locals, we somehow always end up buying them (hint: the drinks are strong) because it feels like being at a theme park.
The food is good, but the atmosphere is spectacular. Outdoor seating has great marina views, but indoors is my favorite because it fully leans into the tiki bar experience. They also host events on different nights, and there is a room with a stage that sometimes has live music.
We ordered a couple of the famous Mai Tai drinks and they didn’t disappoint one bit. Shoot we even order 2 more after the food was brought to the table.
Now concerning the food it was just excellent and I mean we both enjoyed both dishes, but she saved a little to take home to eat it later. The mash potatoes were spot on I highly recommend ordering the mashed potatoes with whatever dish you’re ordering you won’t be disappointed!!!
We definitely will be heading back here for lunch again real soon to try something else on the menu.
If you plan on going to dinner I recommend that you set a reservation for you and your party especially if you want to sit outside on the patio because it’s limited seating out there.
Thinking about inviting my brother and his wife from Chino so we can take them there for dinner I’m sure that they will love it as much as we did.
