Be aware kids’ menu advertises a soft drink is included with the meal, but you still may get charged for one. I was asked if all the children wanted the cup with the lid. I only said yes for my youngest, who is 5.
When I questioned the two extra charges the server told me only the cup with the lid was included with the kids meal, but not the regular glass. I was not warned this was the policy before ordering nor did I ask because the kids menu says “includes a cold soft drink…” “Bottle soft drinks excluded.” I should have ask to speak to a manager because this is false advertising.
The meal and service otherwise was great but that was ridiculous. Both drink sizes included refills. I haven’t ran into this issue at other restaurants.

Let me paint you a picture—
Imagine a breakfast so ambitious it should come with a waiver. I’m talkin’ two pancakes, two sunny-side eggs, two scrambled, two strips of bacon, two sausages, ham, grits, toast… basically a cholesterol seminar on a plate. I tackled that mountain of food not once, but twice—once solo, and the second time with my wife and a coworker who, bless his heart, looked at my plate like he just witnessed a crime scene.
Now Bennigan’s, despite sounding like a mid-tier Irish pub off a freeway exit in Cleveland, manages to pull off this weird hybrid vibe—clean and spacious like a corporate chain, but with just enough small-town Texas charm to keep you from checking your GPS to see if you wandered into an Applebee’s.
Let’s break it down:
Eggs? Solid. Sunny-side looked like they posed for a food magazine, scrambled were fluffy like grandma’s pillows.
Bacon? A little too crispy—like if bacon had a midlife crisis and bought a Harley. But still good.
Sausage, ham, grits? No complaints there—classic, hearty, no-frills.
Pancakes? Ahh, the betrayal. They looked gorgeous—fluffy, golden, like something out of a syrup commercial—but try to pick ‘em up and they disintegrated like my last relationship. Mushy, soft, fell apart like a soap opera character under cross-examination. Huge letdown.
Still, in a town where pancake choices are about as rare as a cold front in July, Bennigan’s holds its ground. It’s not groundbreaking, it’s not brunch with a view, but it’s dependable—like that one uncle who always shows up with gas station donuts and bad advice.

Walked in to the bar top and the bartender wasn’t acknowledging anyone besides his friends. I had to get his attention just to get a drink which I was patient about it. I even gave him more time for him to take a meal order but once again I had to call him over and give him the order. There was some sort of commotion with a guest and I wasn’t sure if she was drunk or not but the bartender didn’t seem to mind her actions. I ordered the chicken with whiskey sauce which is good but a little bit dry. I tried their banana bread with pecans but it was just too much for one person but it was still good. Over all, a simple acknowledgment just so you know they see you goes a long way.

Taco bell has better nachos then this place. I returned the first dish which I have never done and ordered a grilled cheese sandwich. I could only eat half my sandwich because the cheese was not melted. The waitress didn’t even ask if I wanted fries. She just served me a sandwich with no fries. I do not recommend this place because both the food & service was terrible.

We waited 45 minutes for our food order to even be put in, my sister’s soda was brought out to her in a broken glass with a huge shape Crack that went all the way through the middle of the cup. My sister and my food came out with the wrong sides. They brought out the wrong appetizer and half of our food then awhile later the correct appetizer and the rest of our food after half of our table (only 4 people)was already almost done eating. They forgot the dessert until we reminded them the waitress never put it in. We waited for silverware because they had a 20 person table and ran out of silverware. The food was not anything special. The waitress rolled her eyes when my brother in law was telling her what all was wrong. Everyone at our table was upset with me because I suggested this restraunt. I apologized and told my family not to worry about it I will never suggest or ask to go to this restaurant again.

Have eaten here four times now twice with coworkers twice with family, great food, prices, service and atmosphere. Not a lot of places I can go with a crew of boilermaker and with my mom n dad and not have any complaints. Omelets, frenchtoast, reuben, chicken fried steak, loaded baked potatoe soup, sweet tea, cold beer, crown n coke all exceptional

Went for lunch. We ordered the potato soup and it was spoiled. Smelled like rotten milk. Appetizer was still frozen n the middle, f-fries were still cold. Very disappointed. Soup literally made my child sick. When told about it, they said that’s how it’s supposed to taste
but we took it off, and discounted your appetizer. I appreciate the discount but the soup is still spoiled. They didn’t agree. I do not recommend and really hope they don’t usually serve spoiled milk to people.

We ordered food to go and it was ready pretty fast. We had shrimps, fries and burger. Everything was still hot when we got home. The shrimps are bit spicy but good. Staff friendly. Price average.

Our appetizer was delivered to a table that had no one sitting in it. The waitress didn’t follow up to make sure we had our app. Had to ask her where it was. Never received a refill throughout the entire meal. The Caesar salad dressing is terrible and the lettuce was old and gross. Service was awful.

I had the sandwich and soup. The sandwich was ok but the soup was watered-down. Might be a second visit but not anytime soon. Was not the better in town. You know something is wrong when the person seating you is wearing house shoes.
