Stopped in for lunch today.
Ordered the cheeseburger and the chili 5-way.
The burger was ok, nothing wrong but just a burger. I did like the thin cut fries though.
The star was that chili! Server over perfectly cooked spaghetti noodles, yum!
Chili sauce, beans, cheese and onion.
I’d definitely try that again!
I didn’t get a shake, but they looked really good. I’ll try one on my next visit.

Coming from California, I have been a burger and fries guy all my life. When I heard that Steak and Shake had gone back to using beef tallow in cooking instead of seed oil I decided to stop by immediately to enjoy. I was not disappointed because the food was delicious the restaurant was clean and the service was absolutely fantastic. If you are looking to have a burger and fries that tastes very good… stop by. I definitely will be back. O and don’t miss having a shake because they really are delicious. I finished mine way too quickly.

My hamburger was cold. It just wasn’t over the top great, at all. We had heard such good reviews, we drove 35 min, which is the closest one to us and… not worth it to us, in our opinion. Maybe if we’d dined in inside of getting our order to go, it would have been better, IDK.

We ordered two meals at late lunchtime and the restaurant was not busy at all, we received what should have been tossed out in the garbage. Firstly on one burger was to be grilled onions and they hadn’t even peeled the hard outer peeling off and it was grilled in big gooey hunks that were inedible. Secondly the burgers were just slopped together and the condiments were just splashed on one side just carelessly. The burgers tasted like soy not beef just not much taste at all,they were warm not hot and the fries were hard and cold I have eaten at other steak and shakes and this one was definitely poor in comparison, Will not return. The pictures should show just how sloppily they tossed this food out! It’s pitiful to put out garbage like that.

Good burgers and fries. Milkshake not really impressive but they have many flavors. I’ve been there for lunch and dinner to eat inside. They seem to always be short staffed. Unable to determine if there is a manager there. Behind counters that are visible seem to be very cluttered and unorganized. Sad, because this could be transformed into an ideal place for folks. New fry oil is nice taste.

Sitting here waiting for food for over 25 minutes took the server 10 minutes to get our drink order. But please explain why you have five people in the back but only one guy cooking and doing anything. Ridiculous. The white guy cooking needs a raise for doing it all by himself while they just stand around watching.

From the moment we walked into Steak and Shake, the experience was awful. The staff looked completely disheveled and were gathered in a booth in the back, clearly not willing to seat or serve us. Our waitress acted like we were ruining her night and was downright rude. The restaurant itself was in terrible condition — wallpaper peeling, mold everywhere, and cockroaches crawling on the wall right next to our booth. When we pointed it out, the staff laughed and retreated to the back. The whole experience was disgusting and disrespectful. They should be ashamed. We will never be going back.

Came here for a late night craving of shakes. I had their chocolate mint which hit the spot. I was surprised by the cheap menu, what happened to the booklet with pictures they used to offer? Seemed very limited!

Our server was sweet and quick with the service.

We’ve eaten here 3 times now and each has been great food and good service. It’s one of the classic S&S diners with service at your table. We get the triple cheese burgers and shakes to go. Love the talo fries. It’s the only meal of the day needed! Please go to grass fed beef!
