This was our first time dining at Azteca and what a great experience! However, don’t eat too many of the yummy delicious chips and salsa, the portions are ginormous and both my husband and I went home with another meal for tomorrow! Paula T was the best! Highly recommended upscale Mexican Restaurant. Price is high when compared to regular Mexican places, but nothing unusual based on the ambience, service, location, quality and quantity of food. Their portions are large even for lunch menu items. You can expect to spend $15-$20 per person for lunch and you certainly get what you pay for. The place has several seating areas, all decorated well. Presentation of food is simply amazing. Once you go, you will want to be back again. Kudos to the management and staff!

When the parking lot is full, you know that’s a good sign. We were very impressed. Our server was Annie and she was phenomenal. The salsa was very fresh. We ordered chimichangas and they were some of the best we have ever had. Even the black beans were delicious and in most places, they are bland. The atmosphere was very welcoming and attractive. We splurged on fried ice cream for dessert and we rarely order dessert. We will definitely return and spread the word!

Since moving to the area, Azteca has become my go-to for sit-down Mexican food. I recently tried their dozen taco special and it didn’t disappoint. I love the authentic style with corn tortillas, onions, and cilantro. The special lets you pick three different types, so I went with fish, shrimp, and chicken—all were great. I usually go for the fajita quesadillas, but these tacos are a new favorite. I noticed they have a vegetarian menu too, which I’m looking forward to trying next time.

Diana M. was our server this evening. She helped me figure out which topping to get for my enchilada, which as a server, I personally hate when someone asks me what my favorite is, but I was grateful for her help on what was a hard day for me. I received the cream sauce enchilada which was a delicious addition to my chile rellenos and rice and beans.
The side order of plantains was easily 3-4 whole plantains cut and fried to that slight crisp of perfection. My dinner companion ordered the Al Pastor tacos and enjoyed them thoroughly, the refried beans were served in the cutest little tortilla bowl!
I ordered a paloma with resposada to wash away my delicious combo and was so overwhelmed with the size of it, I immediately got to work and didn’t get a picture of it until it was finished.
All-in-All it was truly a great experience and I will make sure to recommend Azteca D’ Oro to anyone I know that can make it to the Winter Garden area.

The only Azteca location servng halal chicken and lamb. The lamb shank we ordered was perfectly spiced and the gravy was very delicious with the side rice. We ordered chicken dishes too, and they were equally good taste and quality. Overall an excellent option for mexican and halal.

First time in, walked in they were making homemade tortillas.
We sat at a nice booth near the musician Poncho and his Spanish Guitar (who plays Saturday’s 12-3). He played beautifully.
