Ramen Bar Akira is a nice spot right near the Trevi Fountain. I had the veggie ramen and a bao — everything was fast, simple, and tasty. The portions were good, the service was quick, and it’s a great option if you want something warm and comforting without waiting too long. Overall, a solid and satisfying stop.

The sign on the door stated they were open but inside it was dark and empty and odored a bad smell. So we understood they are not actually open. On our trip to Rome we noticed that around the touristic areas , lots of the businesses take Monday rather than Sunday as their day off or at least open later on the day

A good spot for a quick meal near the Trevi Fountain. The prices aren’t high, so it’s easy to stop by without breaking the bank.
The ramen was a bit greasy, and the salmon rice bowl had slightly more rice than toppings, which was a little disappointing.
That said, the takoyaki was really tasty and comes highly recommended!
Overall, it’s a decent place for a simple meal.

Portion was a bit smaller than what I expected (as a foreigner I guess, I don’t know what’s the norm in Rome) otherwise, the atmosphere is really cool. And satisfied my ramen cravings after all the pizza I’ve been having here

Very kind staff, great food, and super cute restaurant! We weren’t expecting to visit a ramen shop when visiting Rome but I’m glad we did! We enjoyed it so much we went two nights in a row! I got the chicken and veggie yakisoba and both were delicious! I added in their soy sauce too and I think it really enhanced the flavors!

I live in Rome and need some non-Italian food sometimes. I ate here last week and it was good enough to try again. Now I regret the decision. I ordered the same dish but it was somehow worse and more expensive this week. A bland bowl of broth with some cheap spaghetti noodles and a cardboard container of plain water for €18.50? I was charged €2 to spice it up and another € for a table. If you have paper bowls and a plastic spoon with no waitstaff there shouldn’t be a table charge. I can’t return and I don’t recommend it.

This place has a very cute and cozy atmosphere — the decoration feels warm and welcoming. However, the food didn’t quite meet my expectations. It tasted somewhat like frozen meals; one dish was rather bland while the other was a bit too salty, so the flavors didn’t balance well. The drinks also weren’t as cold as they should be.
While we were dining, the staff were fixing the lights and turning them on and off several times, which was a little distracting. Still, the staff were polite, and the place has a lot of potential if a few details could be improved.

I’m from Japan, wanted to try authentic ramen. I know the owner is a Japanese, that’s why decided to try it. Overall huge disappointment, it’s like food court in shopping mall. I can tell you why here, half self service, bowl is paper made, spoon is a plastic, the taste… worse than instant noodles, I ordered chicken paitan ramen, it’s not real paitan ramen, broth has no flavor, chicken meat is frozen, noodles are not that bad, well in the end preferred instant noodles. If you’re looking for authentic ramen, please don’t try this…!!

They have “regular” and “mini” sizes for ramen. Usually Asian restaurants are known for their big portions so we went for size “mini” but they too small, like a baby bowl. And the cost is 10€ each.

Wonderful ramen! My daughter and I stopped by and had a bowl of the Black and Red Ramen. I’d say mine was better – I had the Red. Incredibly flavorful broth.
