Im not sure if they even had food.. We made it there around 1130 pm.. So kitchen was probably closed. It was a live band playing other Artist music.. the crowd was able to choose what songs were sung. Cool atmosphere! I would definitely recommend.. The crowd on Saturday was definitely a younger crowd like in there early twenties but the music was good and the band was entertaining..

Fantastic piano bar (with drums and guitar). The musicians that performed were super talented, they played classics like bohemian rapsody and incorporated recent hits like pink pony club. The crowd was entertained and energized all night! Most fun we had during our visit to Chicago. There is a $10 cover charge.

Best Piano Bar Experience Ever!
Hands down the best piano bar I’ve ever been to. The musicians were insanely talented and kept the crowd entertained all night. The energy was electric, the servers were great, and the overall vibe was just pure fun.
Highly recommend for anyone looking to have a great night out — amazing music, awesome atmosphere, and guaranteed good times.

The food was terrible, like really bad and the drinks were watered down and gross… But the atmosphere was awesome! We will hav a good time. Get the table, it was worth it!

What a great place for drinks, dancing, and our group of 12 had a blast. We loved the performers and they were great interacting with the crowd!!

I got happy hour party reservation here. Me and my friends all had a good time. One of my friends requested their favourite song to be played as well. Service was fast initially, the place started getting packed up real quick and a little slower with service later. The quantity of individual drink is on the lesser side. I got nachos, they were good, pretzel was okayish, too salty, fries were good, my friend got wings, she liked it.

Excellent place to spend a Friday night, especially if you want to get started at an early hour. 3 different pianists took turns on the keys, drums, and even bass and guitar. Music ranged from Classic rock of the 60s to modern pop tunes that had everyone on the dance floor.

I live in the city and have been here most of my life and yet this past weekend was the first time I ever went to Howl! It was a truly awesome night with plenty of great songs, great entertainers and great crowd. Really enjoyed it and I recommend it highly!!

Tables are first come first serve if you don’t have a paid table reservation. No eating at the bar, so make sure to get a table early on. People don’t tend to leave spot once they get there. Cover charge was $12. Coat check downstairs was $3. My group had a great time. The whole night was awesome. The musicians were on top of keeping the energy and the show going non stop. I got a 12oz Malibu Barbie drink for $15, it was delicious. Mozzarella sticks were hot and cheesy! Vibe was great for Saturday. They also did a free drink giveaway!

My review has 0 to do with the talent themselves. Howl at the Moon is FULL of amazing, talented musicians. I was blown away by their ability to put on a show. However, watching them was exhausting, with the demand to jump from instrument to instrument w/ the additional drums, guitar/ full band setup. As a musician myself (and perhaps that’s calling out why I’m sensitive to this), I felt tired for them. Who wouldn’t be wiped after 3+ hours with a short break!?!?!
I’m also curious if putting on a full band/show performance brings in a party crowd more so than an “I like and respect the performers and the fact they’re up here killing it” crowd. There was almost a clear divide between those enjoying the performers who came for this piece and those that didn’t even see them.
Other good pieces: Our server was extremely nice and attentive; even being a busy Friday night. I liked being able to reserve a seat and have that cost go towards our tab. Honestly, with this setup it was the MOST affordable thing we did all weekend.
One little add-on…the bathroom setup for women. What the heck is that? The women, who are more likely to wear heels, trek up multiple flights to a few stalls and with more than 1 that was “out of order”? Heads up, there was a strike being discussed in the hallway out of sheer annoyance. (I may have suggested it but still…)
Overall, you’ve got some crazy talented people who I hope have the opportunity to care for themselves physically putting on a show like this as burn out is real. Oh, and fix the bathroom situation for the love of gaawwddd. 🙂
