This used to be our favorite place to get tacos but the last 3 out of 5 times we’ve ordered, they have not been able to get it right. This is really annoying and frustrating because we asked for carnitas tacos with only meat on the carnitas tacos but they keep adding stuff on it like onions and cilantro, when my fiancé repeats the order back to the guy taking orders and says it correct but the cooks can’t seem to get it right and it has happened 3 out of the last 5 times now. Literally my tacos say “nada” on the receipt for nothing else but meat but they still manage to mess it up. Think we’re going to look for a new taco spot now, disappointing.

Every time I come to town with my family, we make it a point to stop here. It’s the best Mexican food in the area. The food is always delicious.
As a vegan, I usually order the veggie burrito without cheese or sour cream. The staff is consistently friendly, and today was no exception. I forgot to ask them to hold the cheese, and when I realized, I went back up to the counter and asked if it could be remade. Since it was my mistake, I offered to pay for a new one.
They kindly told me not to worry about it and remade it free of charge. Their generosity and customer service were truly appreciated.

Top notch through any category. If you’re into taqueria food, this is hands down the best I’ve ever gone to and I used to live in burritos in Santa Cruz for years and Santa Cruz has a LOT of taquerias. It’s loud and fast paced. Ingredients are perfect and fresh. Best.Salsa.Bar.Ever! Free refills on horchata, pineapple, Jamaica, lemonade and fountain drinks.

Was very hungry & decided to give a try to this restaurant. Ordered Taco Bowl. Within 5 minutes my meal was ready. It was delicious with very fresh ingredients. The bowl itself was very crispy.
Ambience was good. Not much people were there due to Memorial Day. They have plenty sitting arrangement; inside & outside as well. As it was sunny day, decided to sit outside in shade.
Overall very pleasant experience. Will come next time to explore more options.

I first learned about the original place about I’d say close to 20 years ago. The employees at an electrical contracting company I worked for frequented the place for lunch.
All that to say the wife and I still eat there. The original one is in Brentwood and this location is in Oakley. You can’t lose with either location.
The food is delicious, the staff is friendly, and the food comes out the kitchen FAST.
Seating is spacious with both indoor and outdoor options.
But don’t take my word for it… go try either location for yourself!

Super fast service. Very friendly staff every time. The exterior and interior is beautiful and very clean. Affordable. Self serve for condiments (roasted Serrano’s, jalapeños, salsas, lines, etc.). The food is delicious! Beware about the burritos because it’s enough to fill you up for the whole day and you might just end up eating it all because it’s just that good. 10/10 recommend!!

They were so fast with getting your food to you. Even when they’re busy they’re so efficient and fast. The food was AMAZING. I had the burrito platter and my girl had the taco platter. We also got a small civeche shrimp bowl with extra tortilla chips. The atmosphere was good. They had an outdoor dining area. Overall 10/10 for me. Will travel to come eat at this place again.

Love this place. They have the best shrimp tacos I’ve ever had. And they are consistent. I’ve been coming here for 5 or 6 years and nothing had changed. Being a creature of habit, this makes me very happy.
