I literally felt like I was transported straight to the island! The food at El Sazón de Mi Abuela was absolutely amazing and full of authentic flavor. I had the arroz con gandules, pernil, morcilla, bistec encebollado, garlic shrimp mofongo, and limbers (coconut, pineapple, and tamarind). Every single dish was on point!
The garlicky mofongo with shrimp was bursting with flavor, and the morcilla tasted so authentic. And don’t even get me started on the coconut limber — it truly reminded me of home. You can taste the love and tradition in every bite.
I even picked up a few souvenirs before leaving! Overall, an incredible experience with amazing food and flavor. I had a wonderful talk with the girls on the counter about Puerto Rico I haven’t been back since 2016.It felt like I was transported back home in that instance.I will definitely be back! ✨

The closes you will get to true island cuisine! This place is AMAZING! The food is absolutely DELICIOUS! I was literally transported to my childhood memories of being in the island eating at my grandmother’s house. Everything is fresh! I live nearly two hours away and will definitely be coming back!

We saw a video online about this restaurant and just had to try it. If I could give this restaurant more stars I would! The lady at the counter was extremely polite and attentive. The FOOD WAS FANTASTIC ! You could taste all the flavors and seasonings. There was nothing negative I can say about our experience. We traveled 40 minutes from Easton to try this restaurant out and it was worth the ride! If you want AUTHENTIC Puerto Rican food this is the spot.

This is the best place between NJ and PA. I drive 1 hour to visit this restaurant. Love the friendly service and food is delicious. I also buy sofrito here. Strongly recommended!
And they have limbel, many flavors!

The alcapurrias taste like pastels rice, beans, green plantains and the relleno de papa were really good The fried pork chop was a little salty but good and preferred a little more cooked, but that is my preference. I would definitely go back again.

Great authentic Puerto Rican food, the best in the area. Small and quaint with reasonable prices. We will definitely return. I wish I had taken photos of the food.

I found this spot like 3 months ago. I live 5 mins away from it, I have no idea how I missed it. Best puertorrican food I’ve had in ES and Stroudsburg. Most of the time I order pernil with rice and beans and it’s SOOO GOOD.. but I’ve had the mofongo.. delicious, I’ve had farina, stew chicken, beef and chicken empanadas, flan, tres leches, flancocho, tembleque.. last time my friend came she had an alcapurria and she was drooling over it.. I mean they have EVERYTHING. The seasoning and flavors of the food take me back to my childhood in Puerto Rico. Everytime I go here it’s like I’m back in my island. Best puertorrican food in the area!
