A very nice brunch. The burrata with the persimmons was so refreshing and delicious.
There was a bit of wait(10-15mins) even when you have reservations. Parking takes some time too as you’ll need to drive up to the valet, so plan accordingly.

The service was super friendly with excellent recommendations even though it could be slower at times. We came every day for breakfast and enjoyed dinner three times — everything we ate was outstanding. Our kids loved the kids’ menu, and we really appreciated that kids eat free since we were staying at the resort. They were so accommodating with kids’ cups, menus, and high chairs, and the lawn right outside was perfect for the kids to play before and after meals. A truly exceptional dining experience for the whole family!

I came for a late lunch. It was a Brunch with Santa reservation but Santa only said hi when we arrived. I guess we were too old for Santa lol The hotel and restaurant were decorated for the holidays, which was very nice and festive.
The service was very slow. We had a reservation at 1:30 but we arrived 5 min late. We got seated close to 2pm. It took a long time for the waiter to put in our orders and a long time to get our food. The waiter wasn’t friendly and not interested in engaging with any simple conversation. He actually didn’t smile at all the whole time we were there.
Despite the service, the food was great. I would say it’s a bit expensive but it’s expected for a restaurant inside the Fairmont. It’s a 3-course meal. We ordered different dishes to try. They were great especially the desserts. The portion was decent. I was very full. I would go back for special occasions again and hopefully we get a better waiter/waitress.
It’s valet parking but they validate the parking for you.

Beautiful and pleasant patio dining, but the food was disappointing (and even left me not feeling well!). The French onion soup was the best item we tried, but sadly none of our entrees merited a return visit.

Went with a friend during San Diego restaurant week because the menu and price are fantastic, so it makes it something we can justify as a treat. There is nothing bad to say about our experience. The grounds are gorgeous, the staff is so friendly, service is on point, and the food was delicious. The French spin is well done, really enjoyed the soup and burger, (fig jam is sooo good!), and the salad is very Parisian. Overall just a very enjoyable experience.

I recently dined at Amaya during restaurant week, which featured an appetizer and entrée for $45, with an optional dessert for an additional $9. This was my first visit to the property, and I was struck by the hotel’s beautiful “old money” charm. The complimentary valet service was a pleasant bonus.
My friend and I were seated outside, enjoying picturesque views of the golf course and the lawn area. However, the service left much to be desired. We waited about 20 minutes before any staff acknowledged us, and we had to request the restaurant week menu as it wasn’t provided initially.
For our appetizers, we both opted for the French onion soup, which was flavorful and satisfying. Unfortunately, the entrée was a disappointment. We each ordered the burger, which turned out to be excessively salty and overcooked. Additionally, the presence of pickles on the burger was neither disclosed on the menu nor mentioned by the waiter, which was an issue for me as I don’t like pickles. I opted for a side salad with my burger and it was one of the worst salads I have ever had with root lettuce and no other veggies as I expected. I also added the dessert and it was the best thing I had.
Our dining experience stretched over 2.5 hours due to the slow service. On a brighter note, we witnessed a lovely bride and groom’s first look at a wedding taking place on the lawn, which added a touch of romance to the afternoon.
After our meal, we strolled around the grounds, which are truly beautiful and well-maintained. The venue also hosts tea parties, adding to its allure.
Overall, while the setting at Amaya is undeniably attractive, the combination of poor service and subpar food doesn’t offer good value for money. I am uncertain if I would return.

my fiance and I checked out amaya for Restaurant week. tucked away in inland del mar at hotel Grande Del, is this beautiful restaurant. the enterance to getting there feels like a fairytale. ambiance is 100% amazing, very chic and classy. you kind of feel like your in a castle. such a fun and uniqur spot for a dinner date if your a local or visiting. Amaya is a french cuisine. I’ve been hooked on french food lately so I super excited to try this place! We decided to not order from the restaurant week menu as it felt a little limiting. we ordered the escargot, bread & butter, and patte for starters. I ordered the con au vin (jidori chicken) and my fiance ordered the bouillabaisse (seafood mix of scallops and clams), we also ordered a side of carrots and asparagus. I really loved there escargot, it was presented in a unique style I’ve yet to try, cooked into a bread pour with a creamy tasty parsley butter sause. if you enjoy escargot highly recommend to try it here! Our food was amazing and service was wonderful as well. The service was very tentative to us, changing our silverware and clean our table after each course. Overall, great spot for a fine dining dinner date.

The breakfasts my wife and I had were terrible, especially for the price. My breakfast burrito, was possibly the worst representation of a chorizo breakfast burrito, it wasn’t chorizo or if it was it was the worst I’ve ever had . I have had way better breakfasts at dennys. The service was good though and it has a great view outside. 9 dollars for Not freshly squeezed orange juice, seriously wow. I should have looked at the reviews before dining.

No white table cloth, not any Christmas decoration whatsoever, resulting in lack of Ambience.
This disgusting Santa Claus with a female partner making highly intelligent remarks felt like a harrassment.
The new Chef Tushar is here believed worst than the previous one.
We had been served not even mediocre food poorly presented on cold plates.
The food was partially as inedible returned and absolute insultingly overpriced.
We do not think it can go more downhill and will not return after this second disappointment.
