Ordered the Tapatio Special, it’s always good. This place has been around for a long time, they are consistent. Quality and taste for Mexican food I would say is a 5/10 over all. Food does the job but it’s nothing to write home about.

Got the quesadilla combo (16.25) with flan (10.50) from Uber Eats, the portion of the quesadilla combo was a good size it came with refried beans and rice, but I did see one review that said the chicken seemed like it was just boiled chicken and thrown in there…which seems like that was exactly the case. Not much flavor but the house salsa was good so I added to it. Now the flan…almost 11 dollars for a very small portion. With the size, seems like it should be at least 6.00 so very overpriced for the size. Maybe the food will be better in person, overall not horrible but not great either. Put the flan next to a pacifier for size comparison.

The service was outstanding. We really enjoyed our chips and salsa. Neither one of us were overly impressed with our burritos. The were decent. Was a little bland for my taste. The taco was really good though. It is a nice family restaurant close to the highway. We didn’t have to wait to get a table. It was a little loud but you could still have a conversation without raising your voice. We definately liked the margarita! I would go back to try some of the other meals. It is definately well priced so great place for a casual lunch or dinner with the family.

Try the enchilada rancheros make sure you order extra pork because you’re gonna need it. Also grab a side of white queso cheese small order to drizzle over your food. Best Spanish food by far. Wish I still lived in Florida visited Tapatio’s on my way from Jacksonville to Fort Lauderdale after visiting from Connecticut.

my husband and I have been come here since 2017 and we used to love this place the food and drink we 100%. Unfortunately We’ve decided this was our last time dining here. It’s changed and it was noticeable last year but we still kept going regardless. until today The food, has lost its flavor youve gotta have the salt and salsa to add to your meal to help it. They’ve changed the salsa recipe a couple times now they’ve stuck with this current recipe and it’s not that great, I mean it’s edible but tastes like it tomato sauce and they throw in some veggies…. Anything that may contain chicken ( enchiladas, nachos etc.) be aware that it will have Zero flavor and the chicken taste like they boiled the chicken in water only. They have hiked up the prices like crazy. We just spent $80 on food with no flavor, a $37 pitcher of lime margarita, ( used to be less) that used to get us lit off 1 cup, we drank the whole pitcher and barely have a buzz, and we’re not heavy drinkers either. No refills on chips and salsa ( this has happened our last two times of visiting) you gotta ask for it. The atmosphere and a cool, staff is great! However the food/ drink is not worth it. This review won’t really effect the booming amount of business you get maybe it’ll give you some food for thought.
