After nearly 3,000 miles… from New Jersey pavement to California coastline, from airport corridors to rental car lots that all start to look the same… I wasn’t looking for gourmet.

I was looking for comfort.

And somewhere between jet lag and highway hypnosis, there it was. Red sign glowing like a porch light at the end of a long gravel drive.

Chick-fil-A.

Now listen… I’ve eaten in cities where the menus don’t have prices and the napkins feel like linen. I’ve sipped wine overlooking oceans that cost more per glass than my first car payment. But when you’ve lived out of a carry-on and your shoulders are still holding the shape of an airplane seat…

That first bite of a warm chicken sandwich hits like melted chocolate on a winter day.

Simple. Steady. Familiar.

The bun soft enough to forgive you for your exhaustion. The pickle sharp enough to remind you you’re still alive. Waffle fries scattered across the tray like small golden victories. And that lemonade… honest and bright… cutting through the miles still clinging to your throat.

It’s not just fast food.

It’s a pause button.

It’s the moment you sit down, finally still, and realize you’ve been moving for days. It’s kindness at a counter. It’s efficiency without edge. It’s a small mercy wrapped in foil.

We stopped here on a road trip the day before Thanksgiving. It was VERY full and busy and there was a long line for the women’s bathroom, but the food came out fast and accurate. They’ve also got a great, clean, little play area.

Very large property, with several drive-thru lanes with staff outside taking orders. Inside, the line moved fast with 4 cashiers, including the manager manning terminals. My only issue is that it was very busy, and there weren’t enough seats inside, and the entry doorway area was crowded with customers waiting for to-go orders.

Chicken filet A is known for customer service and quality food but the restaurant in particular demonstrates a firm commitment to the tenants. We’re met with a greeting in the parking lot and multiple times before ordering. Watching the managers and staff interact with one another showed a great work environment set by leaders and great hiring of staff. All this resulted in better than great customer experience. Yeah fil-A!

I placed a mobile order and stated my sister would be picking it up. I called to ask them to put the pickles on the side as that wasn’t an option on the app and my sister had a long drive. My sister arrived and they claimed they couldn’t find the order and to try to come around again. So she went around again and a manager claimed they knew my order. This is the person I spoke to on the phone. My order was two spicy chicken sandwiches meals with pickles on the side. He gave my sister two regular chicken sandwiches, pickles on the side, my sister asked “she didn’t order any drinks?” They said no. She brings it back to her house and I called to receive at least a partial refund for the things I didn’t receive. The lady working didn’t apologize for the inconvenience or their mistake and instead said “yeah we couldn’t find the order.” Then WHY did you give out any food? She said she would refund me. It’s 3 days later and my app says the order has been refunded to a card that’s not mine. I called to ask about it and the manager on duty said that the card holder is my sisters name.. why would you refund my money to my sisters card who’s card is not affiliated with my account at all?! He said since her card was used, her card was not used and I have the bank statement to prove it, they did not apologize until I mentioned how not one person has apologized, they didn’t offer to put the money in my account, or to ratify the issue. It was very much giving “well it’s your sister just ask for it back” so you messed up my order, no apology, messed up my refund, no apology, and now my sister is saying she doesn’t have a card that ends with the number they provided that they said is in her name! you’re frustrated that I’m upset?? Absolutely ridiculous.

I am always greeted with warmth and a smile. I requested an ingredient content list for the nuggets and the waffle fries. Right away the employee taking my order printed out on the register. I was so happy The list checked out and I had a nice lunch. Thank you kindly for all involved.

I called the store to get help with an order that I placed online and Russell was SO helpful and went the extra mile to help me with my order. It was a large order and he took extra time to be sure we had all we needed even down to making sure we had enough sauces and plates. Thank you Russell for your help and for being so caring and kind!

Another update – I ordered a spicy southwest salad which seemed to be ok. An hour or so after eating the spicy southwest salad, I had an extremely painful stomach ache which turned into over an hour of intense pain and misery.

Nausea abruptly followed after attempting to get that food out of my system the other way. After regurgitating, I was suddenly fine. Beware of the spicy sonthwest salad.

Update – Correction, there was more parking on the other side of the building, just deceptive parking lot… did not know that there was parking on the other side of the building.

First time visitng this location. The parking situation was .
I do not know what it is about so many Chick-fil-A’s not configuring convenient parking lots, especially in the Fredericksburg area.

At any rate, the customer service was much better then the parking lot situation. My food did not take long which included a special no salt fries.

The fries were perfect. I have been frustrated with the Chick-fil-A’s near Plank Road which have horrible waffle fries; they are brownish and some are rotten or defective, which taste horrible because they are rotten, defective potatoes, and they throw a bunch of those skin potatoes into the fries that I absolutely despise.

Now that I know that this location stays open later AND takes pride in serving good waffle fries, I will be choosing this location when I want some waffle fries in the future… even if it is 15 to 20 minutes further away.

This morning I have experienced the best customer service I have had at a Chic Fila A location. Russell was such a pleasure, he was exceptional, precise, friendly, respectful, and has great communication. He truly made me and my families morning. Thank you again Russell! Merry Christmas!

I am very disappointed with the service I received at Southpoint restaurant today. I placed an online order and went to pick it up. My food was brought out, and I was told my drink would arrive shortly. However, I waited over 15 minutes while several staff members inside appeared to notice me but did not acknowledge or assist.

Despite multiple attempts to make eye contact, no one came out to check if I needed help. Eventually, after about 20 minutes, a team member came out and apologized, realizing that my drink had been forgotten.

I understand that mistakes happen, but being ignored for that long is unacceptable. I hope this feedback helps improve communication and attentiveness at this location. Chick-fil-A is known for great service, and I trust this was an exception.
