Went to cheddars in johnson city for my 7yo daughter’s birthday dinner.. 1-17-2025 ordered our food. My daughter had ordered the chicken and rice. They said they ran out of rice and waitress apologized so i asked if they could substitute with fries or something. They said no as the rice was not an extra. They brought out the tiniest piece of chicken I told the manager i seen this as half of the meal being missing. My fiancée and i got the buffalo wraps and fries.. my wraps had a chunk of bacon, ham, or turkey some unknown deli meat chunked on top of them that was not supposed to be there. My wrap was supposed to have had the cabbage on it as well as my fiancees and had a tiny pinch and was just chicken and sauce and wrap. And my fiancees meal had some random chips mixed in with the fries from who knows were.the female manager was very rude. She never apologized and acted very arrogant. And made a few remarks like “i dont know how a chip got in there but ok, your not gonna eat over just a potato chip?” And “the rice was just a addition not part of the meal or an extra so i can substitute or discount that” with a very smart attitude. We have ate the other cheddars locations with very positive and tasteful clean experiences. Would not recommend.. our waitress was very polite and sympathetic. But the manager was one of the most rude people i have encountered eating at a restaurant.

Food was delicious, as usual. Maddie our server, seemed new and a little confused, when it came to paying the Bill with a gift card.
But my birthday dinner was absolutely Delicious. My husband’s Salmon was perfect and my Pork Chops with Carmelized Onions was very Yummy. And The RedBeans and Rice, have always been my favorite side dish.

We love coming here it’s a great place to relax. The food is great the staff is great, we generally wait a very short time for our food. We very rarely get pix of our food because we dive right in.

We both had the chicken pot pie today, really awesome, maybe it goes without saying on a good pot pie, but the crust was the best part.

Gotta say was pretty disappointed in my trip here today. Went with my family for a celebration and not once but twice the brought me my steak under cooked. When they brought the second one waitress started ohhh I though it was his even though she took it from my plate. Just show me how little people pay attention and how yet again customer service was non existent. SMH
Used to be our favorite chain restaurant but we won’t be back any time soon.

We had visited a Cheddar’s a couple of years ago and loved it so when on a recent road trip, we had the opportunity to visit one again, we jumped on it. I have to say that everything was good – food, service, etc – except the hostess who seated us. No huge biggie but she seemed very interested in her job, she was grumpy with a frown, and just like she didn’t want to be there. I wanted to mention this because first impressions when entering a restaurant are important and I hope management addresses this. A hostess’ job is to be smiling and friendly and welcoming, right?

Let’s start with if you are looking to go to cheddars in JC you may need to stop at Walmart and purchase a microwave to bring with you. I served at a cheddars out in VA, and this would’ve never been acceptable. We ordered a trio sampler and a potato soup two things I know come out fast. The server was named Jazmine L, she was none existent. For at-least 30-45 mins. It was not packed it was super dark in there, when our food came out it was cold, my soup was cold, my man’s food was cold the spinach dip was almost brown and the crossiants were cold, we were super disappointed celebrating early Valentine’s. With such disappointing food and service. I will add that the server did run my mans keys out to him, that was the only thing she served, she ran like we could go somewhere without the keys. Glad we didn’t order actual entrees

Stopped here for lunch during a business trip with a coworker and had a really good experience. The restaurant was clean, the staff was friendly and attentive, and the service was prompt without feeling rushed. Our meals were fresh, well-prepared, and hit the spot for a mid-day work lunch. Overall, a solid choice for casual dining while traveling—would definitely return.

For starters, the whole restaurant is disgusting. The whole floor from the entrance to our table to the restroom. Looks like it hasn’t been swept in days. ALL 4 toilets were clogged but my son and I used them anyways, everyone else was. Our server was beyond friendly and prompt. The food on the other hand, was comparable to hospital food. Croissants glazed in butter, outstanding! The special for today was meatloaf. I got it with a salad and broccoli cheese casserole. Big lettucy salad with 2 tomatoes and 3 croutons, tiny cup of ranch. Couldn’t eat 1/2 of it. Meatloaf had that dryness on the outside like it’s been under the heat lamp for an hour. Dry inside just a stale taste with no flavor or juices or seasoning. Broccoli cheese casserole was ok. It’s the only thing I could eat all of. My wife got the key west chicken and shrimp. Also dry and flavorless with 3 shrimp she could only eat 1. This is the first time ever we’ve left a table full of food behind. Kids chicken tenders weren’t even good.

I ordered the family bundle to go and paid online. I had my mom pick it up and they charged her card as well. We called back to speak to someone about the double charge. They assured us the charge on my card would fall off. It has not. Tonight, the manager Tammy I believe, told me that I should know how cards work. That when I get a bank card from the bank I’m agreeing to the bank holding my funds. And while yes, I understand that, I did not get a bank card to have Cheddars charge both my mom and I for dinner. With zero interest in a resolution. “Take it up with your bank.”
So beware, if you visit Cheddars in JC, customer service is not their priority.
