We ordered our appetizers, entrées, bobas all at once. The kitchen was BUSY yall. We didn’t wait long for all of it to start coming out.
Everything was incredible. The crispy pork in basil sauce, said It was spicy but definitely not. If it does, it is a very mild kick. Definitely a must when in beaufort! 10/10 recommended
Rad Na is my new favorite!!!
We had steamed pork buns, sukiyaki, the O-Cha special noodles, taro boba with cheese foam, and Jasmine tea. The pork buns were on point, topped with traditional Vietnamese toppings like hoisin based sauce, pickled carrots and fresh jalapenos. The boba was perfect.
The sukiyaki wasn’t like the traditional Japanese sukiyaki I am familiar with. I’d say it was a Viet spin on that dish, but don’t misread this: it was absolutely 100% delicious. Mildly salty but otherwise balanced and grounded, garlicky, with absolutely perfectly cooked shrimp and squid that soaked up all the flavor of the broth and provided a soft counter to the perfectly cooked, mildly crisp bok choy and cabbage. Very, very good.
Honestly though, the O-Cha house special soup (sadly not pictured here) was an absolute show stopper. My hubby and I agree, this is possibly one of the best broths we’ve ever had. We have slurped a LOT of noodles so that’s high praise. Somewhere between a really delicate pho and a tom yum, it was perfect with its mix of thick noodles and a hodgepodge of thinly sliced meats and veg.
10/10 would recommend.
The crispy pork and rice was the star of the show. In my opinion the rice alone was a little lonely in flavor. The ginger sauce did assist. But, it could have used perhaps some diced onion or a little egg mixed in. But, none the less, this will be ordered every time we go back.
The hokkien noodles were exactly what I’ve been looking for around here. Steak was a little tough. So, I’ll get shrimp or just ask for more ground pork next time. Either way, instant favorite! Just wish I had more…
Staff were friendly and very attentive.
Yes, parking is limited and the prices are not what your local Mom and Pop strip mall Chinese/noodle place would charge. But, in my opinion, worth the effort to go and price. Especially for that crispy pork!! 🙂
I may just go back on Monday!!
Roast pork is delicious as well, very nicely seasoned. Boba tea is massive and tasty. One of the best Thai restaurants I’ve tried in the US, way better than anything on Hilton Head where I live. The family running the place are super friendly, from Nakhon Sawan.
