Been here several times now and I have not been disappointed. The prices per entree is 30+ and everything is separate (a la carte), meaning the main course, course sides, everything is purchase separately, but it is worth it. One side is large enough for two adults, you should not have to order separate sides for 2 people unless you want more options. Also if it is your birthday (the actual day of your birthday only) your meal, plus one other person is half off (excluding drinks).

Overall, our meal was “okay” at The Chop House. We went there for there Birthday deal, and to be honest – I would never pay full price at this restaurant. Our server was awesome and the scallops were very good. However – my girlfriend ordered a steak that came out cooked at the wrong temperature. When they took it back, they threw the same steak back onto the grill. Any proper steak house knows that you loose so much of the taste once the meat is cut open and cooked again – this is a big NO in culinary science. When they returned the steak to us, we asked for another steak cooked correctly. The new one that they brought us was even worse that the first and the manager tried to say that it was just how it looked due to our lighting. At that point we were very hungry so we just ate the $50 steak not cooked to our liking. The server ended up taking it off of our bill because he could tell how poorly it was cooked. In my opinion, not worth the money and I would not go back there again. The bright side is that they do have a great serving staff.

Their birthday special is a wonderful bargain, and bargain isn’t a word you would normally consider with the Chop House. The service was great, thorough and our food was very good. This restaurant is nicer than most people dress for, just a sign of our very casual world. I believe people dress so casual, they sometimes forget it’s not a casual restaurant.
Anyway, two of us had some style of steak, and both were prepared as desired. The sides were very good and robust in size. We don’t eat large like when we were younger so no app’s and dessert was a take out. Will go back, for special occasions because I can’t afford such a nice place regularly. If money was looser, it’s hard to find a place that will make you feel more special (it will take a Ruth’s Chris).

We made reservations and set up a babysitter for a date night at this particular restaurant because my husband loves Beef Wellington. However, soon after we arrived, he was sorely disappointed to find out they were out of them. And they only make a certain amount each day. Which put a huge damper on the night. The food we ended up ordering was good, not great. There was a large party there that night, but it seemed only our waitress was slacking. All the tables around us were taken care of timely. She forgot about our bottle of champagne. And we didn’t even get it until the main course came which was a good 45 mins after we ordered everything. No apologies, no making amends. All in all we would not come here again. Unless my husband really REALLY wants to try their Beef Wellingtons, but we would have to request it while making our reservation this time.

We had the best birthday party for my wife at the Chop House. My friend Patrick went all out to arrange and execute an evening my wife still thinks was perfect. From the prawn appetizers through all the courses to dessert and wines. We felt we had our own wait staff in the rear room. We still continue to enjoy the cityscape at our occasional happy hour treat.

I attended as part of a group. I had the steak, it was good, not great. At this price point I expect something better than good, even if it falls short of great or awesome, it should be closer to that than it was. The cheesecake desert was out of this world, awesomely the best I’ve had in a long time. Still was a great overall meal.

This was our second time visiting. The service was great but the food was lacking. I ordered the seafood risotto and it was under cooked. My wife had the beef wellington and it was not that good compared to other wellington we had. I would recommend other locations until they improve their cooking. For the price, I expect better.

Had a memorable experience at Annapolis restaurant. Celebrated my fiance’s birthday . Were seated in a private alcove table. Food was very delicious, Filet Mignon and mushrooms and smashed garlic potatoes. The service was good, don’t know why we had to ask for salt and pepper at our table, would have expected it , since it is a swanky place.Service of the food we ordered was slow, saw only 6 or so tables occupied. My fiance had to remind our server to bring her a second glass of wine. The potatoes were dry and small hint of garlic. Might consider returning again but only on real special occasions.

The steaks here are very good, but they are not the best you will ever have. I bought the $80 steak and found it difficult to cut and chew which is not what I expect for that kind of money. They do however, have a great staff that is dedicated to making your experience the best it can be. I would recommend coming here if you have a birthday coming up, they have an amazing discount!
