This place was not good! We waited forever and food was blah not good and served cold! Briana was our server and she was slow and forgetful! I had the ponchos and it was not great! The creamy jalapeño was the only thing that was good! I had a margarita that tasted like a lemonade without tequila! I miss the sangria I think that made the food taste good! I was very disappointed in my experience at this location! The other lady serving in the red shirt and Santa hat that has great grandkids was very nice and friendly wish she was my server!!! People got food before us that arrived after us!!! E

Native Texan here and Chuys was always my favorite growing up. I normally have a great experience at the location in Opry Mills mall. However, I introduced my children to this location on Saturday and I was pretty disappointed. I got shrimp tacos, one kid got the chicken tacos and Mac n cheese kid meal, and the other got a taco salad with fajita steak.
Before we got our food, I wish I would have left. The waitress we had was named Suzan and maybe she was overworked, had a rough day, or something similar. The way she interacted with us was terrible. As someone who works in a career that needs to treat each “table” like it’s a new one, I felt that Suzan was not capable of doing that. She was delayed in bringing our refills when asked. She had snarky comments to say to my 10yr old when she asked for a kids cup. Made comments such as “my bad, I thought you were a big kid” and seemed irritated she was asked to bring a kids cup. I tried to joke with her a bit to lighten the mood but she was quick to shut it down.
Our food took forever but I noticed that it was busy so figured I’d be patient. My husband is a cook at a local restaurant and I understand they get slammed at times. My food, however delayed, should not have come out lukewarm, my daughter’s steak tasted burnt, and my youngest said the Mac n cheese was nasty (her fault for getting Mac n cheese at a Mexican restaurant).
Overall I’m bummed out that this experience was a disappointment and my children have asked me not to ever bring them back

My party of four was seated and initially greeted well by McKenzie, but the experience quickly went downhill. She checked on us only about three times, and we waited over 10 minutes for drink refills. Both picking them up and bringing them back. My boyfriend’s order, requested with no cheese, arrived with cheese; when it was ‘fixed,’ the same plate came back about 15 minutes later, scorching hot on the bottom but cold on top, with the cheese simply scraped off. When we pointed this out, McKenzie’s only response was a long ‘Hmm…’ before asking if there was anything else she could do. At that point, we gave up and my boyfriend ate the lukewarm meal. As a former server, I’m usually patient, but the lack of consideration was disappointing. The only positive was that the correctly made food tasted good.

Came and had the burrito. Overall great. They did really well.
Atmosphere: Great set up and decor was good. Unique elements thrown in like all the hubcaps hanging from the waiting room ceiling.
Service: Was excellent. We had a large party of 15 with kids and they did wonderful keeping up. They fixed a couple of orders for us as well and weren’t upset about it.
Food: was good , but did lack something. The ground beef in the burrito may have been unseasoned. Their jalapeno ranch did was fire though.
Much appreciation to the waist staff for keeping up with our table.

On tour (I’m a musician) and looking for a place to eat near my hotel in the afternoon before a gig. At 2:00, the bar was pretty empty. I ordered a loaded nachos platter and a Bloody Mary. Hit the spot. Great service from a waitress waiting tables and running the bar.
I’m not a huge fan of chains, but Chuy’s offered solid Tex-Mex fare and the drink was stellar. Just a tad spicy, the way I like my Bloody Mary’s.
I mean, I can’t give a chain eatery five stars, can I? But dang, the service almost pushed it over the top. So I’d say, 4.5 or 4.6.

My husband and I are celebrating our 28th anniversary today and just wanted to stop by and have margaritas and chips & salsa around 230pm. We had never been here before and had been referred here from my cousin. We went inside and the hostess wasn’t friendly but did ask how many. We told her we would like to sit at the bar and she said it’s over on the right. We arrived at the bar and there was only one other person sitting there. He and the bartender were in deep conversation. It took the bartender 4-5 minutes to break away and asked us what we wanted to drink. We ordered two margaritas and left. The margaritas were ok but the service was lacking. We will give it another try after the Holidays. I’m assuming the staff is just tired and/or not enjoying their jobs.

We came to Chuy’s looking forward to a nice time a good meal. Unfortunately, we had to ask our server to be a server, we waited 10 minutes before having to tell our server we needed drink refills for 4 empty cups, then waited another 10 to get them back. The mexican rice tasted like water, and one of our meals came with cheese after specifically asking for no cheese. We asked to have it fixed and it sat in kitchen for 15 minutes before it came back, plate hot food cold and cheese was peeled off the chicken to the point where it was very noticeable. No offer for a discount or to even hide the fact that they did that. Will not be coming back.

Food was great (shrimp tacos), portions ample, wait staff was attentive to our needs, & the food came promptly. The restaurant was packed, but tables/chairs were not crowded together. It was a bit loud (lotta people), but not so loud that you couldn’t have a normal conversation – or be forced to overhear neighboring tables. Prices were very fair. Overall, a great choice.

By far the best Chuy’s location; ever! It’s the restaurant my family always requests to go any time they’re visiting from out of town. The food is always amazing. And above all, the service is always great. Be sure to sit in the bar side of the restaurant. Cary & Tyler are so nice and treat us like friends every time we stop by.
