The Clarksburg Tavern is a woman owned local tavern. We offer fresh, made to order, delicious, pub style food. Great food served by friendly staff in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Everyone can find something they like on one of our 16 rotating taps or mix it up and try a Tavern cocktail. We have 19 TV’s and at The Tavern the remote is yours. Or you can groove to your favorite tune on our jukebox. Shoot a game of pool or play shuffleboard. Enjoy a relaxing dinner on our patio and bring your dog with you. One of my favorite reasons to visit my family is to get a burger from this place. It’s cooked perfectly every time! I also really, really love the homemade ranch! There’s nothing quite like it and it’s good on salad, fries and with a spoon!

I heard Clarksburg Tavern has great fish and chips. As a native Midwesterner I know a good fish fry when I find one. CT delivers!
Two very large pieces of Atlantic cod battered and fried crispy and golden on the outside and remained flakey and moist on the inside. Absolutely perfect!
Their fries really stood out as well. Crisp exterior and very nice potato texture and flavor on the inside. Onion rings were pretty darn good as well. I will certainly return for fish and to try other items.
Portions were so large I will get two, and maybe three meals out of everything.

If you value good customer service and excellent food, I would not recommend this place. I ordered a Long Island Iced Tea, and it was extremely sweet—almost like it had been mixed with Kool-Aid. I had to send it back twice because the taste was still the same.
I also ordered a ribeye steak, and when it arrived, it was very tough and completely unseasoned. I asked if I could substitute it for something else, and the chef personally came to my table. She stated, in a very rude tone, that the steak was properly seasoned and informed me that she would not be preparing another meal for me.
In my opinion, that is poor customer service. That is not how a paying customer should be treated. It felt as though she took the complaint personally, which should never happen in a professional establishment. I will not be returning, and I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone expecting professional service.

Absolutely Delicious. I’m not usually a 5 star person. So so so good. First time here sat immediately, was a slow lunch, server was new but very nice wanna say her name was Jen. We had ordered the ribs, unfortunately there was something wrong with the meat or whatever so we had a to replace that meal. Manager came over later and had said something along the lines of she’d rather serve something that was actually good rather than something thrown together. Appreciate that. i got the crispy chicken sandwich and oh my goodness never change your fries please!!! Those are the best fries Ive had in my entire life. They melt in your mouth yet have a crispy bite. the drinks and food and service were all great. Definitely found a good spot.

Came to Clarksburg Tavern after a day of shopping and going to some wineries. Reviews looked ok so we gave it a try.
The good: Super friendly service. Immediately greated when we walked in and went we left. Food, for the most part was ok, depending on what you ordered. The appetizers we had (mozzarella sticks and pickle spears) were great. They came out hot and were flavorful. My husband had no complaints about the sandwich, but he rarely does.
The bad: I ordered the nachos as my dinner option. It was kinda gross. The cheese was the processed canned cheese that turned cold quickly. The chicken was the kind that’s out of a bag. I highly doubt the chips were made in-house as described on the menu.
They let dogs indoors, which to me was kind of gross since this was a restaurant. This WAS NOT a service dog and did not have a vest.They did have outdoor patio seating, so not sure why this family wasn’t sat there. And before anyone comes at me, the dog was jumping up on the family and on the table begging for food. Usually, service and working dogs don’t do this. They are well trained.
Not sure what other unsanitary things they allow here, so I don’t think I’ll be back for just this fact alone.

My family and I decided to try a new restaurant that was close to home. We decided on Clarksburg Tavern and it’s a one and done for us. It all started to it being a Saturday night and the place was dead. That was kinda of concerning to be a Saturday night but the kids were hungry and didn’t want to wait any longer. We started off with the pretzel as an app while ordering our drinks. My wife and I both ordered a Coke and a water for us to drink. How come the cups had water stains all over them?? I was thinking that this is not going to be good when the waitress didn’t even bother to see that or just didn’t care. The app looked good when presented to the table but then when you dipped it in the cheese sauce it was disappointing because you could taste the can it came out of. When ordering dinner the waitress was very condescending on how I should be ordering my food for my son but when I asked her for raw onions on my steak n cheese she charged me $1.50 for sautéed onions which I did not ordered. We had to ask for her to clear the table of certain items which I found frustrating. Overall it was a chance we took to enjoy a family dinner but was not impressed with what we paid $93 for. Asking for a Coke to go they didn’t even have to go cups. It was not money well spent which is why I am leaving a review. I served tables and bartended for a long time, this place was not nothing special and the prices are high to make up for the sales they are missing out on.

We tried different items at the restaurant. The food was bland, and none of the food items had salt, so we had to add the salt. After adding salt, the food tasted better. One of the other thing was that they didn’t give out to-go water. That was surprising as most of the time, especially in the summer, I have taken to go water from so many restaurants and never been said no. However, the service and the ambiance were good. It’s still a good place for dining.

If Clarksburg Tavern is on your list, consider it twice before going. I hate doing these reviews but this is what they want and what we want as customers or prospective customers.
Long story short. I visited Charksburg Tavern after reading reviews about how remarkable the food was. I even told my son what I had heard and read. He was, as I was, excited to go check it out. I will probably never go back. I kept my order simple: Buffalo wings (“CRISPY, PLEASE MAKE THEM CRISPY AND HARD”…is what I asked of our waitress. No problem I can handle that. 10-13 minutes later, I got luke warm, soft skinned wings. Horrible Wings. I asked for Tabasco sauce because the buffalo sauce was mild like salad dressing. Horrible. I asked destinctly before I ordered, “Are your fries skinned and regular or have a texture?”. “They’re regular, no texture…”. WRONG AGAIN. The fries are large textured fries. For EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES. FIVE GUYS french fries are regular fries. Anything else that add texture or taste IS NOT A REGULAR FRY.
Last thing… I did not ask to speak to the Manager, I did not cheap the waitress because of the poor quality food. I paid our almost $70 bill for bar food. Bar food. NOTE: UNLESS YOU ARE GOING TO GIVE IT TO ME FREE, DONT GIVE ME WHAT YOU WANT ME TO HAVE……..GIVE ME WHAT I PAID FOR.
Clarksburg Tavern…you can read this and be upset or realize you need to do more when food leaves the kitchen and reaches the customer.
