We ate at Pam’s Restaurant and also took part in the cookery class during our stay in Khao Lak, and both experiences were excellent.

The cookery class included a visit to the local market, where Pam explained the different ingredients and products available, which was really interesting and added a lot to the overall experience. The kitchen itself was modern, extremely clean, and set in a beautiful environment within the restaurant gardens.

The gardens are honestly some of the most beautiful we have seen – full of unusual and stunning house plants, which makes the whole setting feel very special and quite unique.

The staff were excellent throughout – friendly, attentive and very professional. The dining room is probably one of the nicest we have seen in Thailand, with a really elegant but relaxed atmosphere.

We were super impressed with how easy and well-organised the class was. The dishes were clearly explained and, most importantly, they are recipes we could genuinely recreate back home – which is a massive plus.

It’s worth noting that the style has a slightly Western feel, which actually makes it very accessible and comfortable for most travellers. That said, if you’re looking for a more traditional Thai approach, you can absolutely ask Pam to adjust things. We requested more authentic local ingredients at the market and she was more than happy to accommodate, which we really appreciated ( not everyone likes Thai spice or Pea Eggplants

We also really appreciated hearing Pam’s story and seeing her dedication – it’s inspiring to learn how the business has grown over the years and how much care goes into every detail.

The food was delicious and the whole experience felt relaxed, fun and very flexible to what you want from it. Highly recommended if you’re in Khao Lak – whether just for a meal or for the full cookery experience.

Lovely looking place and obviously popular for special occasions and almost every table taken. As the first people there we were surprised the service was slow, especially to offer a drink and the time it took to bring the appetisers. The spring rolls were probably the best we’ve ever had and the satay sauce with the chicken was excellent. Mains were mixed. Green curry was a bit hot for medium spice but other flavours were fabulous, veg rice was very good but the chicken with holy basil had no holy basil flavour which was very disappointing. Personal taste but the Chardonnay mix white wine wasn’t great. Waiting staff were all very pleasant.

My husband and I went last night for dinner after booking a table via Facebook before flying out. From the minute I messaged Pam, I could tell it was going to be amazing.

The booking including the cost of being collected from our hotel and then taken home after our meal.

The restaurant was beautiful. So many pretty flowers, gorgeous lights and just a lovely atmosphere.

The food has been some of the best we’ve eaten whilst being in Khao Lak. The drinks were amazing and the penang curry was the best. My husband ordered the red curry and also said it was the best he’d eaten.

The staff were really polite and friendly. It was also a lovely touch meeting Pam there and she went and spoke to people eating there. Pam – you have done this so right and your business speaks volumes!

We’ll be back! Thank you for looking after us!

If you are in Khao Lak, you must eat at Pam’s Restaurant. The food is amazing. We had a beautiful cocktail each, satay chicken, pomelo salad, steamed fish with chilli and lemon grass and streamed vegetables as a side (great recommendation by the waitress) and broad flat rice noodles with prawns! Wonderful attentive service, food excellently presented. Pam also does two cooking classes per day. Book well in advance as she is super popular. Best food and restaurant so far.

Highly recommend and now understand why you would want to book ahead for a table at Pam’s.

Quality ingredients used in a broad menu, it’s hard to pick what to eat and we sought recommendations from staff. The pomelo salad was a stand out for me.

Kids happy to have nuggets, chips and onion rings alongside fresh fruit smoothies.

The setting is like a little oasis.

Pam came through the restaurant as we were wrapping up our meal to say hello.

We appreciated hotel pick up and drop off as options.

This was an excellent experience for us in Khao Lak. We were fortunate to be accommodated for a table for two at short notice and we were welcomed by the owner who explained how the business had grown from humble beginnings. We wanted to book a cooking class with Pam but she is fully booked for the foreseeable future. She recommended us to Pui and we booked her cooking class. When we tried the food we very quickly realised why the cooking classes were so popular. The presentation, flavours and textures of each dish and cocktail were perfect and we were really happy with the service received. The restaurant is in a beautiful setting with lots of flowers and greenery. Pam also runs a complimentary shuttle from JW Marriott Khao Lak which was well received by us and other guests.

Best food in Khao Lak without doubt. After a week in Krabi, we could not find anywhere as good for our 2nd week in Khao Lak. After discovering Pam’s on our penultimate evening, we were delighted they could squeeze us in again for our last night despite being fully booked for the next 5 days.
Truly the best place in the area.

We discovered this restaurant after a google search showed it to be top rated.
We arranged a taxi pick up from our hotel with the restaurant.
(A small charge was included on our food bill)
On our arrival we found the restaurant was festooned with plants and greenery and had a number of different dining areas all seperated by the plants etc.
The service was great with the common theme of lovely smiling attentive Thai staff.
The food was the most authentic we have had since arriving in Thailand, so that is another big tick for this restaurant.
The evening was rounded off with a very affordable bill including our two teansfers.
If you are nearby get booked.

Bookings are needed here.

Excellent traditional Thai food, in a beautiful garden setting, with attentive and helpful staff.

The backstory to this fabulous place is it started in 2003 with just a couple of tables and one cooker, serving hotel workers. Now it’s a beautiful outside dining experience, with excellent food, lively atmosphere and great staff. Food was reasonably priced and delicious. Taxi can be arranged to/from your hotel, and bookings are made via Facebook.

The garden is a labour of love, built up by Pam herself, who will delight in talking to you when you visit.

If you only go to one restaurant in Khao Lak, you should go here.

We had a lovely meal at Pam’s on our first night at Khao Lak. Communication from reservation to the complimentary pick up from our hotel was excellent.

Everything we ordered was cooked to perfection and right level of spice. Our waitress was excellent in explaining the dishes and how spicy we wanted them.
