Service could’ve been a bit better. It wasn’t a busy night, but it didn’t feel as attentive or impressive as we expected.
Overall though, it’s a wonderful place to celebrate special occasions. The atmosphere alone makes it worth visiting!
The atmosphere was very nice with all the Christmas decorations and breathtaking views of the waterfall outside the restaurant.
They have many glass windows to show different perspectives of the scenery.
The Hostess Sofia walked me to my table. She was warm and friendly.
My Server named Ali was excellent, he was attentive and made sure I had a great dining experience.
I ordered a Cappuccino that came with a rock candied brown sugar stir stick.
I Started with the juniper and tomato soup. It was presented nicely and poured into my bowl at my table.
I found it was flavourful but the temperature was not quite at hot as I like my soup.
For my main I had the very delicious Beet Risotto, Arborio rice, Grana Padano, roasted beets, beet purée, kale chips, charred pearl onion. It was served nice and hot and it was a very generous portion and very filling.
I ordered a side of Skin-On Smashed Potatoes parsley, chives, buttermilk. They were very good.
I look forward to returning again soon!
The area outside is beautiful and a nice place to have a pre or most meal walk.
Service was great. Servers were very polite, personable and attentive.
Food was great, with a good variety. Good portion sizing and reasonable pricing.
Really enjoyed our experience here and will definitely be back!
Shortly after arriving, we lined up for oysters, only to be informed by staff that they had already run out and that only crab legs were available. It was just around 12:30 p.m. For a first-come, first-served buffet, this suggests poor planning and inadequate food preparation. When I shared this concern with staff, I was offered a complimentary handcrafted coffee.
Overall, the food quality was underwhelming and not memorable. What was more disappointing was the lack of attention to a special occasion. I had clearly noted in the reservation that it was my mother’s birthday, yet no cupcake or candle was prepared—something that was provided last year. The only option offered was to cut a pastry from outside and add a candle, which we declined.
In summary, while the location and scenery are beautiful, the service and food quality did not meet expectations. The receptionist was unprofessional, the food supply was insufficient, and the overall experience did not justify the effort of the trip. We will not be returning and would not recommend this venue.
Only thing that slightly disappointed me was the menu. It’s pretty limited. I really wish they had more variety or some fusion options to mix things up a bit. Overall, lovely experience for the views and atmosphere, just hoping for a more exciting menu next time.
I would recomend it to anyone.
Shout out to Lisa for the tip on the beet puree.
Drawback: very few options (2-3)for the vegetarian and vegan food. Same in the dessert but you can request the staff to eliminate items which are soaked in alcohol.
Tips: must remember to reserve the seats. Mushroom soup was the best I had there as it was sumptuous and quite filling. Serves both alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages.
