Reviews
This is truly a Texas breakfast place, but you may order egg whites, vegggies, and healthy options. Let’s be honest though. The apple pancakes with whipped cream and way too much butter are awesome.
The salsa and pico are good. Crispy bacon is perfectly crispy. Take home a pie.
Opened in 1985 by Ginger when she was only 19, it’s been serving true Southern hospitality for nearly 40 years. Ginger has since retired, but you wouldn’t know it — nothing has changed, and that’s what makes it incredible. Most of the original staff is still here, and they speak about this place with pure joy on their faces — something you just don’t see anymore.
The atmosphere carries that nostalgic diner vibe that’s almost impossible to find today. Patrick, our waiter, was friendly, attentive, and genuinely informative — the kind of service that makes you feel like family. And the coffee is the real deal — simple, honest, and perfect.
If you’re looking for a place that feels like stepping back into what community used to be…
this is it.
A treasure.
Super friendly staff and comfortable atmosphere. Hot yeast rolls with cinnamon butter brought to the table when you’re seated. The menu is adorable and fun, see pics! Lots of seating inside. Cute little jukebox on the tables. Generous portions. The food is so good! Prices that beat most places like this. This is now our family’s new favorite spot.
Since they have multiple signs proudly boasting they have the best banana pudding ever, we had to try it. Its a fact jack. It was so good. We also got a hot cinnamon roll to go. So yummy! This place is dangerous if you’re on a diet, definately cheat day worthy though!!
Adorable 50s decor of Elvis, John Wayne, and Gran’s country kitchen! We loved this place. Great family spot!
Again, been a very long time since a spot has earned a full 5 from me. Not sure if that matters to anyone ,but if you look at my reviews you will see, I’m pretty tough on places that fall short.
