I’ve been to this restaurant 4 times and have left fat and happy. The portions are more than ample enough. The potatoes casserole is made with pecans and is delicious. The ribs are not over cooked and come off the bone with little effort. The collared greens are cooked just right, not mushy. The beef brisket melts in your mouth. The corn bread is on the sweet side, which I love. The prices are comparable with other Bbq places. I would defiantly recommend trying this place.

I was a frequent patron when they were located on W. Silver Springs, about every 3 months I would treat the whole office to Champions. Everyone loved it. We ordered today for the 1st time from the new location on S. Pine for the whole office. I have to say my meal was disgusting. I ordered brisket and it was fatty, greasy and I could not eat it. The beans which have always be so awesome have changed, they were a runny mess with no color and even less flavor. The mac and cheese was a glommy gluey ball of gross. Everyone had similar complaints, the only good thing someone said was the collard greens. How could such a awesome food vendor go this far downhill in just a year. I spent close to $200 to treat the office and most ended up in the garbage. All of the new employees though we were crazy since we raved about how good the food was and how we could not wait to eat and it was so bad. Sorry this happened to such a good place.

Awesome food and service. I couldn’t finish the huge loaded cheeseburger meal that was only $11 and my wife loved the beef brisket sandwich. And we got a second salted caramel cheesecake to go. Highly recommended!

Ate here last night for the first time after hearing good things about it. And must i say this place was terrible! Its new location is where the old bellview pizza hut use to be and i wish it never left. Champion bbq served me and my entire family RAW steak. Must i add im 7 months pregnant and had extreme case of food posioning last night. The manager was nice enough to take off the steaks but didnt even comp us our drinks which we paid $10 for. Waitress was highly misinformed and didnt even know they only serve prime rib on saturdays. After decided i wanted prime rib the waitress told me 10 minutes after my order was already put in. If your looking for half ass bbq, smokey dining, bright lights and crappy decor you came to the right place. Never coming back

I enjoyed the MacNcheese and collard greens, that was it. First, there was only one choice of bbq sauce and I did not like. Next our appetizer was chicken wings, that’s exactly what they brought. No seasoning on them or anything, just chicken thrown in grease. Then the food arrived, my cornbread bread was black on sides and bottom. As soon as I tried to pick it up it just crumbled. How u could think that was acceptable to even bring out. Sweet potatoe casserole was watery and bland (probably leftover from the day before). Beef brisket flavor was ok but very dry. Didn’t bother complaining, the fact u brought me burnt bread showed how much u care about serving good food.

Cat fish. Special monday with two sides. Baked beans with pulled pork in it. Omg sides so generous. Served in soup cup sized dishes!!! Brisket perfectly smoked and seasoned. No teeth required to chew. Wait staff warm friendly fun fast. Wish I wasn’t just visiting from Wisconsin

I got the baby back ribs, mac-n-cheese, fried okra and corn bread. The ribs were very dry, chewy and refused to come of the bone. The mac-n-cheese was cold as

Great family place with tasty seasoned meat. Ribs are the most flavorful anywhere. Use sauce if you want but really not needed. Good for kids too.
