The beer is cold and the food is pretty decent. The place is a little run down, but so is most of Venice Beach. This is probably a great place during summer afternoons to enjoy a cold drink. I experienced dinner on a Weds (1/14/26) January…a time where some grime isn’t as easily overlooked as a peak summer day. The Cali BLT was quite good and they had a wide selection of beers. I ate at the bar and both bartenders were attentive and friendly. Bottom line, good spot for a drink, and surprisingly good food.

Had a late lunch here while walking along Venice Beach. We had the chips with guacomole and salsa. Guac was homemade and delicious, not a fan of their salsa (it was too watery). We also had their Chinese chicken salad and it was okay. I just feel like there was too much dressing that made the veggies a bit soggy. We enjoyed the smoked brisket though, it was full of flavor and the fries were well seasoned.

Service was good. Ambience was great and vibrant. There’s a busker by the street and he played cool songs.

The Sidewalk Cafe is truly one of my favorite places to eat, and their Bacon Blue Cheese Burger proves exactly why. The burger was spot-on — juicy, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. The combination of smoky, crispy bacon with the bold tang of blue cheese is unreal. Every bite hits with that rich, savory flavor that makes this burger stand out from anywhere else.

The atmosphere is always relaxed and welcoming, and the service is consistently friendly and attentive. It’s the kind of place where you feel comfortable settling in and enjoying a great meal every time.

If you love a good burger with serious flavor, the Bacon Blue Cheese Burger is a must-try. It’s one more reason this spot remains at the top of my favorites list.

Unfortunately, we cannot recommend this restaurant. The chicken in the burrito was undercooked and had an unpleasant taste, which is unacceptable from a food safety perspective. The enchilada my wife ordered was also very disappointing. Overall, this was a very poor dining experience.

The restaurant was really good! The pizza was amazing one of the best I’ve had. The only downside is that the tip isn’t optional, which was a bit disappointing. Other than that, great experience overall!

Nice spot right on Venice Beach with a great vibe. We just stopped by quickly, but the atmosphere was fun and the location is perfect. Good place to relax and enjoy the beachfront.

Good sized portions for the food. Thought that we could take this down without any trouble. Got halfway and wasn’t able to. Lots of different options to choose from. The pasta is very rich in flavor. The pizza was good but got a little oily at the end. Mai Tai’s are nice and strong. Can’t beat the atmosphere here. The wait staff is very professional.

Had a great time here having some brunch before heading back home. The food was so delicious I dont usually order eggs Benedict but saw quite a few tables with them so I decided to try it and it was the best one I have ever had. Service was great from start to finish and sitting along the sidewalk and being close to the beach and smelling the fresh air was amazing and just watching all the people go by and the street vendors and performers setting up and had a guy singing some awesome music. Definitely will be coming here every time im in town. Thank you guys

The brisket sandwich was fantastic, and the fries were cooked well (not heavy on seasoning and not soft/soggy). My only complaint is that whoever was responsible for assigning my table a server had supposedly pulled a server from another section to work my table well out of her way, so I was constantly forgotten about. Took upwards to 15m after receiving water before someone came back. Then, at the end, took probably another 10m for the check. I can’t fully fault the waitress but there needed to be a little better organization. It seemed like there were maybe 4 servers in the whole place, and it was fairly busy. You could tell they were running around trying to get to everyone. Last recommendation to the restaurant, please include a “nonshareable” ceviche. The one on the menu is priced at ~$20 for a small bowl of it loaded with chips on the side. I could eat that myself, but I wouldn’t want all those chips or pay that price. Extremely unreasonable!
