For food, I ordered the mango shrimp and steak, and both were full of amazing flavor, everything tasted fresh and well-seasoned. Our server was super nice, attentive, and made the experience even better.
I went on a Wednesday around 8 PM, and it was pretty empty, which was honestly perfect. There was plenty of parking available and no rush or crowd. Overall, great food, great service, and a great atmosphere. I’d definitely come back.
Everything about this place is nice! I love the fact that this was actually an old train station and we can see the train pass by and then someone would ring the bell (what a unique experience!
4/5 for the food because of the PORTION. The plate was too large for the portion. It’s definitely slightly PRICEY for the entire dish.
I had an 8 oz of filet mignon + one glass of a less expensive wine + had one serve coconut shrimps for the table = grand total of $100 with the tip.
Btw they need to fix their bathroom because it’s TOO small everyone was so squeezed in there and hardly can get out with the line.
I would RECOMMEND and will come back tho. I need to bring my dad and boyfriend here because both of them loves trains!
I appreciate the restaurant for making our birthday extra special w/ there crème brûlée
Contrary to expectations in our experience the seafood was lacking, with the broiled fish coming out dry, and the seafood tower not as fresh as it should be given the price, but the crispy duck, on the other hand, was excellent. The chocolate layer cake was a nice surprise as well, moist throughout despite being a slice shareable by three.
Parking in the area can get a bit tricky during peak times, but there’s a valet which helps a lot.
The decor is lovely, if a bit traditional, and the staff was courteous and attentive. Nice for special occasions, but on the expensive side for sure.
The food was absolutely amazing—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully plated. The seafood dishes in particular were standout.
The view was stunning, peaceful, and made the whole evening feel extra special. The staff were warm, friendly, and made us feel truly celebrated. Such a memorable experience, we’ll definitely be back!
We came with friends and ordered a variety of dishes, each thoughtfully prepared and beautifully plated. The oysters on ice were fresh and briny, the grilled lobster tail was tender and buttery, and the scallop risotto was rich and creamy, with peas adding just the right pop of sweetness. The baked ricotta cheese was comfortingly warm, paired perfectly with crisp crostini and sweet jam. I finished the night with a classic cheesecake topped with a deep berry compote—simple, satisfying, and just the right note to end the evening.
Our server was Paul from Florida. Service was attentive but never rushed, and the entire meal felt like a special occasion without being pretentious. If you’re visiting Ann Arbor—or live here and haven’t been in a while—this is the kind of place that reminds you why dining out can be so memorable. And yes, the train bell really does make you smile.
The food is hit or miss in our opinion for the price point, some main dishes I’ve just expected more and definitely have had better for less money. We go for the whole experience though.
Our service this past go around was the best we’ve ever experienced there, I believe our waitresses name was Bea. Extremely knowledgeable and excellent at her job.
