We celebrated my dad’s birthday here and it was great.

Prices: Extremely Reasonable
You truly get a lot of value for your money here. The portion sizes on the Barbarian platter are generous, making it easy to enjoy a full feast without a massive bill.

Quality: Superior and Hearty
The ingredients feel fresh and the preparation is clearly handled with care. There is a consistent standard of excellence in every dish served.

Responsiveness: Prompt, Friendly, Attentive
The staff makes you feel welcome from the moment you walk in. Despite how busy it can get, the service remains efficient without feeling rushed. Our servers were knowledgeable about the menu and kept our drinks filled throughout the meal.

Selection:
While German cuisine can often be heavy on gluten and meat, they go out of their way to provide thoughtful alternatives.
I appreciated the vegan options.
The only improvement I could suggest would be to put a symbol or tag for items which can be made Gluten-free.

Taste: Authentically German
This is the real deal. The flavors are deep and traditional, transporting you straight to a Bavarian beer hall. Whether it’s the tangy sauerkraut or the perfectly seasoned bratwurst, the seasoning profiles are spot-on for anyone seeking a genuine German culinary experience.

Really good German food. The waitress was very friendly and helpful.
The beer selection wasn’t a very long list of beers, but the German beers that we tried were great.
The chicken schnitzel was very good, as was the giant pretzel, potato, pancakes, red, cabbage, etc.

Unless I see the prep and cooking from start to finish, and serve myself no one can convince me that the goulash wasn’t a can of Dinty Moore Beef Stew with some noodles thrown in. It looked and tasted just like it. I didn’t eat it and our server noticed and took it off the bill.

This was my first time at this restaurant. We all had an amazing thanksgiving dinner here this year. The Turkey was as tender as could be and very moist and all the trimmings were equally as good. Everything tasted homemade and delicious. My sister ordered the Short rib beef and thoroughly enjoyed it.
Our other 3 friends were also raving about their dishes. We were in the catering hall and the service was great, the food plentiful and well organized. We never go out to eat on thanksgiving but this year turned out to be a good choice.

Had a delicious Birthday dinner here with my wife tonight. Every time I visit I like to try a new Entree. The Rindsrouladen was tender and delicious. My wife enjoyed the Beer Battered Cod Fillet. We shared a German French Fries that were superb. Very prompt, attentive and pleasant service as well. Highly recommended.

We have eaten here before going to UBS for the Islanders games.

It’s unfortunate what has become of the food here. I have been coming to this restaurant for a very long time, and although it’s been a while since my last visit, I expect the food to be good as it was the last time I visited. Alas, it was not to be. The Jaeger snitzel was tasteless, smothered in a mushroom sauce made of canned mushrooms and lacking all flavor. The beef roulade was no better than boiled beef devoid of any seasoning. The red cabbage was overcooked with no flavor other than vinegar.

This place used to be the place for a great German meal, but it is no longer.

Maybe it’s still good as a Biergarten with live bands, but even the beer selection is limited, so I’m not too sure if one can say it’s a great Biergarten.

The food and the service of the past is no longer what is here.
