Went here for a late dinner on a Sunday night. Food was excellent, hot and had huge portions. Great place if you are hungry and don’t want to deal with going out. Definitely would go back.

We had the BBQ pulled pork with coleslaw, fries and a drink. It was so delicious, flavorful and enought for 2 to share for $15.75. Outside seating

Fresh made daily but not quality food. The fresh cut fruit is fairly priced. Hale Koa is not known for its food. 1 thigh, 3 chicken legs and a cheese pizza was $24.50

With the great reviews I was expecting a lot better.
More like a hole-in-the-wall, premade foods under a heat lamp, like a 7/11.
I tried the fish and chips. Frozen fish with McDonald’s like fries. Tartar sauce was little packets of Heinz (so gross). Hubby and kiddo ended up with hotdogs. I was really surprised at the cost of it all. Way overpriced for such mediocre food.
The one thing I enjoyed was the sliced pineapple cup.
We went on a Friday evening.

Overpriced hot dogs. Family and I tend to purchase food at this bar often when we’re vacationing in Waikiki. Over all it’s convenient and ok food. I only have one gripe. Why is the hot dog $11.50. The poolside bar has them for $6.50 and the NX has them for $1.99 all same hot dogs. Blows my mind.

Happy’s is a convenient place to grab a quick bite to eat at a reasonable cost. My favorite meal was the pulled pork sandwich. They also had some premade salads that were also surprisingly good (and filling).

Friendliest workers ever, super nice, and helpful.

Food has no taste…

For the geriatrics, it’s probably great, they have all the condiments, salt and pepper on the side, but man, the flavor is lacking hard.

The prices are typical, overpriced, but it’s at the hotel, and it’s after covid, what do we expect anymore.

Overall, chips and drinks is ok.

My meal was amazing I got the cheeseburger fish sandwich was okay and pulled pork sandwich was so so salad was great and coleslaw was bland but the worker were super nice and efficient because it was lunch rush and the atmosphere was what you would expect but still good.

Huge portions for fair prices. The lady working the cash register is friendly and fast. I really liked the fish and chips and haupia cake!

We love the convenience of this place, and the staff and kind and professional. Please please please use compostable products. Single serve giant plastic boxes for every food item is a shame, especially being on an island beach!!! Also, let’s get some more menu items that reflect where we are! Hawaiian plate lunches with fried local eggs.. More healthy options too – stir fry bowls with veggies, rice wraps with tofu and veggies, grilled instead of fried options. More fresh snacks- veggie cups, apples with peanut butter, etc. Local farm foods are what people want to support these days! Let’s get some healthy drinks too- kombuchas would be amazing and local coffee would be a great start! Thanks for considering.

*2025 update. Yea!!! I’m seeing some compostable packaging this year! Forks and the cups for fruit!! Thank you! I also just had a grilled veggie salad, such a nice surprise! Please make a vegetarian soba noodle option too. We love these changes – please continue this trend! Kombuchas and some local farm foods next please!!! Thanks Happys!
