Been coming to Gracie’s since I was 18 — still pull up here and there, and they don’t miss.
Everything be tender, juicy, smells phenomenal, and actually fills you up. You get what you pay for every time. The jerk chicken, oxtails, fried chicken, beef patties — all super good. Consistent, flavorful, no games.

Finally stopped at Grace’s Cafe to try the food. Was craving ox tails. First time there. I got oxtails, rice and peas, cabbage and a curry chicken patty. It was all so delicious.

We ordered to go for lunch. Hubs ordered Jerk Chicken and I had Stewed Chicken.

Upon opening the plate I was really excited to dive in. I typically don’t like to eat white meat, but there was lots of juice so I figured the chicken was indicative of the visual. When I began to eat I noticed more bones than meat on my plate. I was able to find 2 chunks of meat. The pieces I did have were overcooked and dry. There was a ton of rice and beans/peas. The cabbage was cooked great but lacked flavor.

I will not make a comparison to another local business, but if I patron Grace’s, I will eat the Jerk Chicken and the rice and beans. The Jerk Chicken was a leg quarter with jerk flavor. Pretty good.

Overall I would go back but for particular dishes.

Lady ripped me off charged me $18.40 for a plate of cabbage rice and peas and plantines. Even tho rice and peas come with the meals with meat for less. It was supposedly a large veggie plate and was in the same containers they serve all their other food items and wasn’t large and the rice and peas are dry and not good and cabbage isn’t the greatest. I would’ve been better off getting and meat entree and just adding cabbage it would have been cheaper for sure. No listed prices for veggie plate or for sides. It’s insane these places rip their customers off and then expect us to return

Food wasn’t good. I ordered curry goat and it was so toug I couldn’t finish eating. Rice and peas was so dry and no flavor. Cabbage was the only decent thing I ordered. Plate has more rice than anything. Food gave me a stomach ache. I won’t be returning, save your money.

This is a good spot to get authentic Jamaican cuisine in Missouri City. The restaurant is small without much seating so I typically order food to go. However, I am never disappointed when the food arrives. I usually go with the oxtails but on this visit I went with the Curry chicken. I would definitely return in the future.

Neat neighborhood Jamaican restaurant serving delicious food. I ordered Curry Goat with Rice n Peas to go. My wait time was reasonable and found the quantity of food to be very adequate. The restaurant is a bit inconvenient for me but I plan to return as often as my taste for Carribbean food arises. Check them out, I think you will like them.

If you know anything about Jamaican restaurants, then you know what to expect. Considering I’ve been going here for so long and I am spoken to nice, they get 5 for customer service. The food is TO DIE FOR. The oxtails are easily the best I’ve had ( sorry mama) and the jerk chicken is insanely delicious. The meat is always cooked to perfection. The beed pattys, lord the beef pattys. Amazing. There I’d nowhere in Missouri city that has that flavor. No where ‼️
They have whole fish and goat as well. Several Jamaican drinks to choose from. Graces is definitely the flavor you want if you are craving Jamaican food.

Update… still my favorite and only jamaican restaurant in Houston i will go to. Has been amazing since day one.

Worst of the worst! The red snapper, taste like it had been sitting all day, the cabbage had a vinegar taste, the oxtails also. I took a couple of bites and file 13 it went. Thank God I didn’t eat it all because my stomach was not happy with me. I gave 2 stars to service only because the cashier was very friendly. The other employees didn’t open their mouths, just looking at us crazy! Take it from a fool don’t waist your money!!!!
