I’ve had great experiences at Sugoi Sushi in the past, both the food and service have been excellent on my previous two visits. Unfortunately, today was a different story.
We were greeted right away and told to sit anywhere, but after that, we ended up waiting quite a while without menus or drinks. During that time, two other parties came in after us and were helped immediately, while we were still waiting to be acknowledged. It was disappointing enough that we eventually chose to leave. As we got up to walk out, someone finally asked if everything was okay.
I know this place can do better based on prior visits, but today’s experience definitely missed the mark. I hope this was just an off day, because I’ve really enjoyed this restaurant before.

I was order nigiri& sashimi combo, and SOS roll. The presentation is very decent, and good quality of food. Service was friendly and attentive. The place is very quiet, they said it’s been only 2weeks to reopen. I hope they make good business here.

This place never disappoints! I was made to feel special, and when I made a special request for my sushi, the chef even named it the Yvette Special! If you’re a shrimp lover and enjoy a little spice, you have to try it!

The food and service was amazing. Our waitress Julissa was so sweet, attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. The atmosphere was pleasant, clean and overall the perfect spot for a date night. Will definitely be back soon!

By the time it occurred to write a review, the food had been devoured. Anyways, since the change in ownership Sugoi has vastly improved. The staff is very welcoming and the food is definitely on the top list of favorites. The paradise roll was refreshing without being over filling. The sunny roll was similar is the quality was great and not overly filling. The right amount of rice to fish ratio. If you haven’t checked them out since they have changed ownership, you really should. Also their liquor license has been approved!!
