Worst experience ever. Had get my own silverware and was first told only had plastic. Till another lady said they had regular silverware. We sat there over hour and I had go back to front for refills. Multiply servers walked by us but not a single one helped but was helping table beside us just fine. The food was gross. Mac and cheese was extremely watery. The steak was black and tough. Mashed potatoes were salty. Broccoli was watery and tasteless. The roll with butter was best part. We eat at one in Myrtle beach all the time so I know this unacceptable.

It’s been a few years since I have had the breakfast buffet from here didn’t know it had started back. But for only 10.99 it definitely didn’t disappoint. Our server was a older lady named Tina she really gave us service we haven’t gotten in a very long time. Hopefully I can make the trip again one day.

Cups were dirty, we paid extra for plastic cups which was crazy because it’s not my responsibility to wash your cups so why charge me for the Togo cups? Very limited items, most of them were cold. But that didn’t seem to matter as they were literally pushing us and others OUT of the door so they could close, mind you we were there at 8pm, hours advertised open until 9:30. As a former bar/restaurant manager for 12 years I find this behavior unacceptable and have fired servers& kitchen staff for this exact reason. The posted hours are what you are obligated to honor. I would have rather been turned away at the door than to have paid for this experience. I had to find a server long after sitting and waiting for her to bring silverware and we didn’t have drinks because we were told our server who never came to us would bring us tea being made. Tea wasn’t being made, she brought half watered down tea halfway through our meal… which whatever. I never complain but this was insanely unprofessional and disgusting & we paid the “weekend” price. $100 just thrown away because when we were finally over it and just ready to leave I waited to speak to someone and the only person I seen (our server) after waiting again forever to find her and she didn’t so much as acknowledge me which again whatever but I’m the only person standing there and you’ve closed down the register so why else would I be standing there.. to avoid confrontation I just left as she seemed agitated. I could keep going but honestly I just won’t be back to this location. The family seated near us had the same issues and then some.. the experience was just oddly unreal. I’ve had some disappointing experiences dining places but never like this. We love GC however this location, this atmosphere, these employees.. nope. Also the gentleman cooking the steak not only gave me the worst overcooked beyond burnt steak in between dumping buckets of water onto the floor and touching the trash can WITHOUT washing his hands. We threw 90% of what little options we had away, it was that bad. The kids had no desserts because that was all broken down within minutes of us sitting down at our table and when they asked for it the staff said “no” and dismissed her by walking away. It honestly was so awful I can’t help but laugh at this point. I’m glad we planted that money tree, I wish it would start producing… I don’t mind paying for what we do or where we go but in this case that $100 was literally a donation and our time wasted. Oh and they were “out” of everything we asked for, even ranch. After we were told “it’s actually on the salad bar you can get it yourself” well no way I would have never thought of getting it myself at an open buffet… we looked it was empty and they had none to replace it according to her when she came to let us know at the end of our meal. Oh boy I wish this was made up. Hope your experience is better than ours.

No drink for 50 minutes, waitress never came back to table after leaving my silverware. Tables around got service while I had dirty plates left and no drink for I’m not kidding 50 minutes. Multiple staff walked by cause i was on the way to the drink area and not one person asked let me get you a refill. I get its whoever my waitress was but seriously 50 minutes and nobody else offers… Manager seemed nonchalant about the whole thing after saying im leaving because my drink isnt full pointing at my still not filled drink she says so she filled it. No she didnt hence me leaving. Made no attempt to offer me a drink after saying i was leaving because i am thirsty and cant eat with no drink. Who knows how much longer it would have taken to get a drink because at 50 minutes I left cause I had drinks in my car. Kinda hard to eat with nothing to wash it down. 0 out of 10 don’t recommend. Time before this last one I bit into raw dough in the rolls. Get your staff figured out cause this ain’t it. Last piece of steak unediable was all gristle and fat. Staff was allowing kids to roam the food area without supervision. Someone made a announcement but it didn’t get under control either. If you like no drink while you eat this is the place.

The restaurant was severely overcrowded, excessively loud, and poorly managed. Staff appeared overwhelmed and disengaged, requiring guests to actively chase employees for basic needs such as utensils and drink refills. There was no visible leadership or floor management present during our visit.
The physical condition of the restaurant is unacceptable. Seating is torn with exposed foam, and overall cleanliness and maintenance are noticeably neglected. This location is long overdue for restoration and reinvestment to meet brand standards.
During our visit, customers began singing, music was played, and line dancing took place in the dining area. While I understand cultural expressions, this was disruptive and inappropriate for a dining environment—especially during a crowded Sunday afternoon after church on December 28, 2025. I was visiting home to celebrate my mother’s birthday, and the conditions were so uncomfortable that I chose not to dine.
This restaurant has been operating at this location for many years and remains consistently full with local patrons. Given its sustained traffic and revenue, the lack of upkeep, deteriorating furnishings, and poor guest experience reflect a failure in accountability at the local and regional level.

Golden Corral Corporate (@GoldenCorral): This location warrants immediate review, corrective action, and leadership accountability. Guests should not be expected to tolerate substandard conditions simply because the restaurant is busy or its buffet style. Brand standards, safety, and guest experience must be enforced. Please take immediate action.

My family and I went here a week ago and our waitress Brit was amazing. She was friendly and well-spoken. She came by frequently asking if we needed anything and made sure we’re were alright. Make her employee of the month!

The only issue, nothing to do with her, were the desserts. The dessert area needed more ‘love’, it should’ve been kept up with more. They weren’t as good as the food. You could tell it was sitting there a while.

Other than that everything else was good for the most part.

Went to GC today and had a great experience. I just got an order of yeast rolls, but the service was amazing just getting my yeast rolls. Shay was friendly and seemed happy to be at work. Marco was someone else who helped me. Both have amazing customer service. We don’t usually do buffet, but I told my husband we need to go give it a try. Just sitting back and looking while waiting gave me a different aspect. Needless to say the yeast rolls were gone within the hour!

The buffet was messy. There were a lot of empty pans on the desert buffet. The grill area was not attended like it should have been. Our waitress was not rude but she certainly wasn’t friendly. The Heinz condiment holder was filthy. The food was good but I definitely prefer the Forest Ave Columbia location much better.

Everything was amazing.the food was hot and so good I loved the fried green tomatoes and the pot roast. The staff is very friendly and treats you like family. The cooks are so nice and really know how to fix the food and make it not only look good but taste amazing. Keep up the good work!!
