I will start by saying we are big fans of the mainland Joeys. We came down to the island on a Friday night. It was about 7 PM. There was 1 other table sat inside.
There is no wait service- you order at the counter and then they call you up to get your food. (Call is actually putting it nice – they scream your name) The menu items are listed on boards on the wall.
The counter girl seemed like I was bothering her when I placed my order. The music and phones are insanely loud so sitting to wait and eat is unbearable.
The linguini with meatballs was mediocre at best. I made it tolerable by using the garlic, oregano and red pepper flakes they keep on the counter for pizza slices. I didn’t dare ask for a little Parmesan in fear the counter girl would bite my head off or her eyes would roll back permanently into her head.
The plain slice and buffalo chicken cheesesteak were ok.
Will not return to this location.

So, it’s 8:36 pm, the pizzas were ordered at 7:07. The pizzeria is 5 blocks away. No pizzas. Each call to ask response is: they are on their way. Order from anywhere else. Trust me.
So, the pies arrived, with a weak apology. I didn’t hit the delivery guy’s tip too hard as it may not be on him at all.
However, you should know that the Grandma pie was A. Round (not a deal breaker, but unusual) B. Very salty C. Not thin crust ( again unusual) D. Only warm.
Plain pie was deemed okay, but only warm.
There are other things to say about the quality here, but I don’t feel there’s a need. Look at my other reviews and take my advice. Call somewhere else.

This place used to be a favorite of mine when I’m on the island, but ever since the other location closed, the quality overall has decreased. The customer service is completely non existent. Front of house is the first impression when walking into a restaurant, so the fact that there were several people at the counter and not one person said hello, welcome, or anything was disappointing. Even the what looked to be management, said nothing and just looked through me, complaining that the rush was starting, as if it were bad to be making money. I guess that’s what happens when you hire teenagers who could care less. The girl at the counter didn’t even look at me when she finally did speak saying pick up? I mean, it couldn’t have been more rude. Every person there seemed to be bothered by having to do their job. It’s only $63 worth of food but I would appreciate just a little courtesy. The chicken parm sandwich was a huge disappointment. It wasn’t even a real chicken cutlet, they just threw some chicken tendies on a roll and called it chicken parm. Do not get! Yellow American cheese doesn’t belong on cheesesteaks or chicken steaks either. Pizza was still decent and I like the sauce, but it used to be way better at the old location. Overall I cannot say with confidence that I will be returning. The lack of hospitality is enough for me to tell others to eat elsewhere, as there are many gems on the island. Do better.

Amazing Pizza…I am from Canada and just love NJ pizza…great crust and sauce. I come every year to Joey’s because I know I will get a great pizza. My wife had Chicken Ceasar Salad that was also good, large portions. See you next summer !

Wanted to shout out the Joeys delivery guy who went above and beyond last night. We had a scheduled delivery time for 7 pizzas for a kids beach bday party but an accident on Long Beach Blvd was holding up traffic for a long time with no end in sight. He walked those pizzas 6-8 blocks to us instead, no questions or complaints. Super professional. Lots of respect and a major thank you!

If i could give 0 stars i would due to the ignorance of the staff members. I recently experienced an incredibly frustrating visit to this pizzeria, where the staff completely ignored me while I was trying to place my order. Despite multiple attempts to get their attention, they continued chatting among themselves and making no effort to acknowledge or assist me. It felt as if I was invisible, and their blatant disregard for customer service made the entire experience miserable. My aunt and I then order ice cream and had a man come outside and watch us as we finished our ice cream. As a business owner and property manager of 10+ years, this is very bad for your business. I won’t be returning to a place that treats its customers with such disrespect and indifference.

$92 for complete junk! Chicken Parm Hero had 1 piece of chicken all bread, garlic bread was dry, burnt and had no garlic. Pizza taste like a frozen pizza out of a box! Don’t waste your money!!!!!!!!
