Absolutely delicious! My recommendation is to go in with an appetite and try the Cena Experience. It’s an opportunity to try more flavors than you would dining as a couple and ordering separately. The service was prompt and professional. The presentation, while not extravagant, displayed a hint of artistry. The portion sizes were more than adequate. And as stated before, everything was delicious. The only slight disappointments were with the deserts (which, per the menu description, are outsourced) and the bartender. The deserts failed to hold their own as compared to the rest of the meal. They were good, just not as good. As for the bartender, my initial order of bourbon on the rocks came back as a watered-down glass full of ice and mixed with bourbon. Any bartender in this city should know better. Only after explaining to our waiter what was expected did my second drink come with a more appropriate single large rock in the glass. With that said, we would not hesitate to dine there again.

This is a 1st. I’ve never been so disappointed that I felt compelled to write a review until now. We had dinner last night at Cena’s. I would give it a zero but my friend’s steak was good. The rest of our experience was a disaster. From the minute we arrived. No one greeted us. We came down the stairs wandering around not knowing where to go. Once we found the hostess and were seated we had to wait 10 minutes for a menu….they ran out even though the restaurant was half empty! Our server had a hole in the back of his pants that was awful along with his service. He brought my wine but forgot my friend’s wine…twice! It took him 10 mins to bring our bread we repeatedly asked for….and it was cold. He truly would not make eye contact with anyone and was so forgetful! We finally recd our octopus appetizer right before dinner. It was at most average. I ordered the stuffed pork…but nothing was on the inside..it was VERY bland. The manager argued with me that it simply melted out. Lol Nope there was NOTHING ever in there. We had to wait an unusually amount of time for everything and usually asked at least twice for something our server forgot. I can see why the restaurant was so empty. We eat at all the popular Louisville restaurants but will cross Cena off our list. We love their other restaurants though such as Guacamole and Mussel & Burger. Sorry Cena but you fall below flat!

AMAZING!
I am a foodie and this was an incredible experience. Whoever is putting together the menu knows what they are doing. The Bistecca (Fiorentina-style) is the star…perfectly cooked…perfectly seasoned. Also, skip the potatoes and ask for their polenta. #orgasmic I have had the risotta two different ways at Cena…with lobster and con funghi…both were incredible. I will return, over and over again. The food, the atmosphere and the staff were top-notch. Bueno!
