First time dining here and overall a solid experience. What initially drew me in was the $9.99 deal for a dozen raw or chargrilled oysters and $7.99 for a half dozen which is a great value. The oysters were fresh but a little saltier than my personal preference. Next time I would ask for lighter seasoning.

The restaurant was clean and the staff was friendly and welcoming. I would recommend giving this place a try especially if you enjoy oysters.

Scooter’s Fish House is a clean restaurant with simple, plain decor. You order at the counter, find a seat, and wait for your number to be called. It’s mostly bench seating unless you snag one of the larger tables, which have chairs.

We ordered the fish, shrimp, and oyster dinner, which comes with two sides. We chose the cheese grits and fries. The seafood was good — fresh and nicely cooked. The fries were really good, but the cheese grits were pretty bland and could’ve used more flavor. Our food came out in a reasonable amount of time, so no long wait there.

My only real complaint is the condiment setup. The tartar sauce, cocktail sauce, pepper sauce, and malt vinegar aren’t on the tables — you have to get them yourself in little paper cups, which isn’t ideal when everyone’s trying to share. Drinks are self-serve, and ketchup is the only thing already on the table.

Overall, good food and friendly service, just not the best setup for condiments and seating.

Stopped in for a late lunch, hubs had the fish of the day combo, I ordered the fish tacos…OMG.. it was so good. Super sweet lady at the register. Above average FISH. Cobia was the fish of the day and it was out of this world good. Scooter’s will be a REGULAR stop when we come on vacation again.
The dining area is set up with picnic tables and benches, you get your own drinks. It’s a cute little set up, nothing impressive except the food and service. We will be back!!!

This place is so good!. The food was all homemade and fresh. By the time we were leaving there was a line out the door and down the sidewalk and I see why. Calamari, fried shrimp and grilled fish were all delicious. My kids loved the hand breaded chicken and seasoned fries. Definitely worth a visit or two while in town.

We visited mid-July around 4pm for dinner with a party of 6. You order at the door, which can get crowded and they do ask that you leave the door closed. So some may be waiting outside. It is a fish house, so seafood is the name of the game. Most of us got shrimp. They do have chicken tenders and a chicken sandwich. One person ordered the special, fresh caught Pompano.

Overall, after the ordering (which there was a little bit of a line), our food came out quickly and hot. It was well seasoned, and good size portions. Prices range from about $10 (sandwiches) to $25 (special). Would definitely visit again, if we vacation near Navarre.

The fish of the day was fried flounder and it was melt in your mouth tender and cooked to perfection. I had the FotD platter with grilled shrimp and cheesy grits that were all incredible.

AMAZING FOOD! No frills, great prices, and fresh seafood. Everything we had was wonderful and the service was great (Shout out to Stephanie!) Lots of items to choose from and I promise you this is better than any touristy restaurant in the area! Great spot for lunch or dinner in Navarre Beach. I would recommend the bang bang shrimp dinner, hush puppies, fried soft shell crab, and fried oyster sandwich!

Hands down the best sea food I have had around here. Their collard greens! Wow. Everything taste so good and I actually feel like I ate something nutritious and not overly salted. Everything has such a good flavor. The food was very crispy and nothing was greasy like everywhere else. I am a local and now they have a forever customer. Will be back with my husband soon. I have to let him get some collards! . The staff was so kind and made me feel welcome. Family environment all the way. Thankyou for having such clean food and giving us locals such a wonderful place to eat. Best service, clean restaurant just very happy with my experience. I had to share. You won’t be disappointed. Please go get you some good food there! If you want a like home cooked meal. This is the place.

We had an awesome late afternoon early dinner at Scooters! Great beach atmosphere and vibes. It’s not an upscale place and that is exactly what we were looking for. I had the bang bang shrimp which was delicious. My wife got the fish sandwich and thought it was wonderful. My aunt and uncle got the Scooters plater and the fried oysters and both thought they were great. Sides like the fries and hush puppies were great. Our entire four person meal including two soft drinks with a military discount came out to $89 without tip. Not too bad. Minus two stars on service for it being walk up ordering and pickup with zero table services offered.

Scooter’s Fish House was very busy and had a line to order before seating ourselves at a table. Plenty of tables inside to sit at. Waited an hour for our meal. We had a mixed experience.

I ordered the baked pompano with fried okra and potato salad, which was good but not repeat-order-worthy for me. The fried okra was a highlight – it was very tasty! My husband’s fried shrimp dinner wasn’t hot when he got it, which was disappointing. My mother-in-law’s fish of the day (triple tail) was just okay. Half dozen oysters were okay. I liked their cocktail sauce.

The biggest issue was with the key lime pie upgrade. We were charged $6.47 for a slice, despite being told it was a $3 upgrade. When we went to pick up our food at the window, they told us they were out of key lime pie and offered a large side of seasoned fries instead.

They seemed to be having some technical difficulties with their system which was probably why the key lime pie inventory wasn’t up to date. Their kitchen also seemed backed up/overloaded.
