The food was iffy for me. It wasn’t bad at all. It just had some miscues. The onion rings were barely fried. They were not golden brown like in the pictures. The fried shrimp were pretty small. They tasted good, but just small. The gumbo was okay but tasted more like something you get out of an HEB deli soup bin.
I would surely come back here. The rest of the menu looks interesting.
After 4 poor experiences at the Bandera location, we still wanted to find the old time good Sea Island.
The I-10 location is much better. After a few times back here, it redeemed itself. So we will continue going to that location for now.
Service prompt & friendly.
Food hot and fresh.
Crispy cold cole slaw, hot fries, crispy fish. Love the fried okra. The attendants serving food checked with us multiple times and super attentive.
I suggest they check their buns as during the recent visit they was dry.
Otherwise, hoping future visits will sustain the great food they have historically provided.
The cashier helped me choose a plate because I wasnt familiar with their menu.
The place was well kept as well!
5 Stars all around, would go back!
Appetizers – they have a solid selection. We went with the Diablo crab cakes (3 to an order) and they were very good.
We both love da shrimps, so we both succumbed to the expansive Shrimp Feast. For shrimp lovers it is really good. Shrimp 5 ways. Nice. We especially liked the grilled shrimp. Service is nice, quick and very efficient but once they drop off the food they are not going to come by as much as other sit down places. Again this is the restaurant model; not a critique. So ask for what you want up front or be good with flagging someone down. Overall give it a try. Casual experience.
For the price point this is a good restaurant. Very nice staff.
Oh, are hush puppies finger food or not? The debate rages.
Service? Top-notch. There was a mix-up where they thought we ordered fish tacos instead of trout, but the server swooped in to save the day like a seafood superhero, issuing a credit faster than I could say, “Hold the tartar sauce.” Thankfully, my spouse spotted the error on the ticket before the food hit the table—proof that reading the fine print isn’t just for lawyers.
The atmosphere? Fantastic. Big-screen TVs showing the football game, plenty of space between tables, and no crowds. Even if the restaurant had been full, I think I could’ve practiced my cartwheels without disturbing anyone.
There all my favorite dishes on the menu! Hard to choose from
