I don’t normally leave negative reviews, but I feel this experience deserves to be shared.
After a recent visit to Five Guys in Shallotte, I completed a survey about my experience. Morgan, the manager, reached out promptly and apologized, which I genuinely appreciated. She offered to make it right by remaking the order, refunding me in person, or sending compensation cards. I chose the compensation cards.
On February 2, she asked for my mailing address. I immediately provided it, and she responded that she would send the cards out. By February 15, I had not received anything, so I followed up to confirm my address again. I received no response.
On February 23, I contacted the corporate office and was told someone from the Shallotte location would get back to me. As of today, I still have not heard anything.
What disappoints me most is not the original issue, but the lack of follow-through. If you offer to make something right, you should honor that commitment or at least communicate if there’s a delay.
I hope this location improves its communication and customer service moving forward.
Update: no further communication from the restaurant but the gift cards were in the mail box today, exactly four weeks after my purchase and the first communication.

The Five Guys in Shallotte North Carolina is exceptional! The girl at the counter was quick accommodating and helpful. I threw a lot at her with my low-carb order to include three sides of mayo (which I did not waste I might add) She took each request in stride, was pleasant and when the food came out, it was delicious! In this era of rising food costs and disappearing product Five Guys stands alone.

We popped into Five Guys for a quick bite to eat. Their burgers are mouth watering and the fries were incredibly delicious (and I usually don’t eat fries). We didn’t realize how good their meals were but now we know and will frequent this establishment!

Haven’t been to a 5 Guys in awhile, honestly wasn’t worth it for the Cost.
So I decided to try them again with there BOGO Promo. Went to place my order and they had turned off Online Ordering! You could only use the promo code online.
I’ll Never step foot back in a 5 Guys again!
You can get a Much better deal at Chili’s!

I reached out to the “Owner”with the supplied Email (which I researched and is the Email of the franchise of southern NC and Northern part of SC) and have Yet to get a response.
They just posted that Comment to Act like they care!

I don’t usually get bad food when I come but the last two times I’ve been the fries are just not the way they used to be. Last time one of the workers gave half the fries that is usually put into an order, this time, yes the amount of fries was good but the fries dissatisfied me. They were half cooked and just had no crisp like normal, my husband had got them changed out yes they were better but the fries were not drained long enough the fries came out soggy…. Was very disappointed…. Yes I’ll chance going back being it may be the workers are tired but when I’m paying almost 10$ for a large fry I expect to get the price I paid for quality food…

The general manager, Morgan deserves all the praises in the world. We came in and there was only two people working. Morgan is an absolute rock star and amazing at what she does. She was running around doing everything and she does it well. She deserves a raise!!

The burgers are always fresh and delicious.
Service is always exceptional and Morgan and Liam are the best. They know what our order is, feels more like a neighborhood restaurant than a chain.
The store is sparking clean. I highly recommend the peppermint shake with Oreo crumbles it is amazing!

Walked in & was greeted with a smiling face. Placed our order & was correct with our individual requests. The burger was cooked to perfection (done & juicy)! We ordered a shake & that was brought to our table after we got our food so it was “just made” & not runny. A great visit!
