Social Profile:

With high-quality made-to-order burgers, a ‘come as you are’ environment and a strange reverence for Chuck Norris, there’s no place else quite like Twisted Root. Way back before ‘gourmet burgers’ was a thing, Chefs Jason Boso & Quincy Hart decided to build a restaurant around half-pound, fresh ground burgers with a menu that allowed customers to build their own burgers with a list of crazy and inventive toppings. The two met in culinary school, after jobs in stock brokerages and telephone line repair. After paying their dues working the line at The Four Seasons & Pappas Bros, Jason & Quincy finally opened Twisted Root Burger Co. in the Deep Ellum neighborhood of Dallas, Texas in 2006. Twisted Root appeared on the second season of Diners, Dr

Chain with gourmet beef, turkey & vegan burgers, plus spiked shakes. Some locations have game meats.

Great burgers. Juicy and well seasoned, cooked to perfection. Some of the best fried pickles you will find, disks not spears….like they should be.

Start to finish everything was prefect. We came by late afternoon on Sunday. We were warmly greeted. Our cashier was friendly, and helped guide us through the menu. Our food came out quickly, and was delicious.

Guy Fiery approved ! This place is DELICIOUS ! From the moment we walked in -to the moment we left we had great service. I loved the FREE help yourself pickle barrel bar & watermelon iced tea ( tasted like a jolly rancher) ! The atomic pickle flavor was my fav. They have a wide variety of selections and modifications are easy without any fuss. They offer game of the day such as antelope , deer etc. Gluten free , vegetarian & vegan options available. One of the best vegan burger patty’s I’ve had ! ( I opted for lettuce wrap) Everything was soooo good . The “in house” sauces like “root beer bbq “ & “chipotle ketchup” hit the spot. They call your order out by music artist , really fun ( we got prince) . Highly recommend for all your burger cravings.

Went for fried pickles and received soggy pickles. They are lightly breaded and if I wanted that I could have went to the store and bought a jar of pickles and ate them out the jar. The pickles had no crunch at all. I highly don’t recommend.

Definitely worth repeating visits! Everything from their traditional All American Burger to their more unique creations and all their sides are incredibly delicious! Don’t forget to try every flavor pickle they have available because they’re all so good. And don’t skip out on the shakes either, they are the perfect consistency and the flavors really pop! Every visit the service has been stellar, even through it’s counter service. The staff still takes the time to check on guests while they’re dining in. And if you’re getting a to go order? Every order is checked thoroughly! Check em out!

Definitely one of the best burger places Ive been to in Dallas. Their hospitality is A1, as soon as I walked in I was greeted by someone behind the counter with a friendly smile and a hospitable hello welcome in, their menu is actually pretty cool too they have several different unique burgers and even offer BYOB (build your own burger) and a vegan option for the animal loving homies. The fries are top notch my son is autistic and very picky about fries but he devoured my entire side if fries then proceeded to steal his fathers lol. I believe they are hand cut and house made and you can definitely tell with the flavorful taste they have. They also have really cool house made shakes which I was too full to try because the burger was juicy and big just how a burger should be. It was very filling and satisfying. The atmosphere was cool too they have the place decorated in a uniqye manner and it wasnt too loud or over crowded despite being right near deep ellum. Definitely will come back with friends to get a day drink and some burgers again next time and hopefully ill have room to try a shake and maybe edit the review to reflect the shakes as well. 10/10 oh and last thing the music choice in there was also 10/10

Perfect burger.

I got the classic with grilled onions and fries. I loved the burger but the fries and ranch were real standouts. The fries were fresh and seasoned to perfection, the ranch had a distinct pepper flavor that helps separate it’s flavor from a lot of other ranches I tried.

Gotta say. If you are a burger fan and want a delicious meal, this is the place to go.

Food was good. Service was terrible. Food was missing from our order that the server told us was missing when we got the food. Said it would be right out. 10 minutes later I asked about it and was told it would be ready in 5 minutes. 10 minutes later, I got the same response again. We finally said don’t worry about it we are leaving and the woman behind the counter just nodded. No I’m sorry about that, no nothing.
We were there at around 5 in the evening on a Saturday and half the tables were dirty. No one was bussing the tables. An employee was informed that someone had left their car keys on a table and he just walked over, got the keys, and left. Didn’t pick up a single plate, glass or anything else from the table. New customers were having to clean tables off so that they would have somewhere to sit.
I would not recommend this place. The food was good but not great enough to make up for the terrible level of service. I’m sure that there are better options in Dallas.

They had one vege burger, it was good and spicy. Although it is a bit messy / crumbly. The staff is super friendly.
