First time in Illinois. This restaurant was very nice. Ate lunch here today with family for my birthday. Our server was very attentive and took great care of us. I had salmon with loaded mash potatoes and shrimp & crab bisque. It was good. My husband had the bass/Branzino with cream spinach and the Kennasaw soup. Of course I tasted his meal. His soup was amazing as was mine. Soups are made fresh daily. He is still talking about his Branzino. It gets the chef kiss. My daughter had Chicken club sandwich and fries. She rated it 6/10. Ambiance was nice. I will definitely come back the next time ,I’m in the area.

Took my grandson for brunch, he had the steak with parmeson crust, I had the steak sandwich. Patrick was great, the food was delicious. We ate dessert at home, cherry pie and Chocolate cake. Loved it! This place is a nice atmosphere for any type of meal. This is the one in Glenview.

We three women had a reservation for noon lunch on a Thursday. The restaurant was busy but not packed, and we sat in a booth. We were greeted by three different staff and finally we learned which one was our server, but we are still not sure who the others were. (In the end, one was the busser and we never saw the other two during our meal.). We ordered wine, and one glass came with a chip with a piece of fabric in it. When it was brought to the attention of the staff, he took the glass and, without an apology, he took it away and returned with a new glass. We then spent time chatting until we realized our server was a rare sighting and had to get his attention so we could order our food.
As he was telling us the specials and asking questions, he oddly avoided any eye contact with one of us (#2), speaking only to me and one other #3). When #2 had a question, the response was a bit stilted, and we could not understand why. Our meals arrived, and the Chicken Wildorf Salad and the Wildfire Chopped Salad were both very good. They were large enough to take home what could not be eaten. I had the French Onion Soup, which I did not care for; the flavor of the soup was different and there was very little bread in the broth. I also ordered a side Caesar Salad, which was a nice side but had no croutons or anything other than lettuce, dressing, and shredded cheese. This was lacking in all ways. So out of the three of us, we had 2 reasonable meals. With a total bill of $135 before tips, it was very disappointing. Which is odd because Wildfire is known for its quality, which today seems to be in short supply.
The accessibility is good, with no barriers from the front door to the ladies’ room. However, getting to that restroom requires a walk through the main dining room, and a wheelchair user may have some difficulty getting through the tables and chairs easily. While the tables are appropriate for accessibility, the booths are raised and are not open to those with special mobility needs.
Sadly, I was disappointed with the food and the cost. This is not the Wildfire I remember from many visits in the past. During the 1-2 years since I last dined here, things certainly have changed. What a shame.

It’s NYE so the wait was chaotic even with a reservation we could barely get through the door there were people everywhere. We were seated about 25 minutes after our reservation time but everything was great! Food was cooked and seasoned perfectly, drinks were good and strong. Would definitely come back.

Excellent Prime Rib. Lively, busy atmosphere. Slightly upscale but still casual. You’re greeted with delicious warm bread at your table. Love the menu diversity of steaks, chops, chicken and seafood. After our apps of chilled shrimp cocktail, crab cakes and French onion soup, we opened for the prime rib and filet trio with 3 different crusts – parmesan, gorgonzola and mushrooms…really delicious and worth the money. Take your friends and family here for an excellent meal. We visit this location every other month.

Been going to Wildfire for over 15 years. Service and food has been maintained although they changed the way the bread was served its still good. Unfortunately, the 3% service charges plus increase in pricing makes it a better option to just go to a real steak house like Gibson’s for that price. Party of 7, 4 adults and 3 kids under 10 was over $600 not including the service charges plus tip. We usually leave a 25% tip but left a 22% since there was already a 3% added to the bill.

We were there for my mom birthday celebration in one of their private rooms. They did a great job to make this celebration as memorable as possible. I do recommend the restaurant, food, wine selection and their great service. Go there and see if yourself

Booked a reservation on Google, that was very easy. Arrived at the restaurant, and were immediately seated at our table for our reservation. The main dinning areas were full – glad we made the reservation.

The service was very good. Our waiter remembered all of the orders actually. The food came out hot, presentation was excellent, and most importantly very delicious. Our group had a variety – special filet mignon slices that were seasoned and the steak sliders. All of those were fantastic! The meas was topped off by sharing a dessert. Triple chocolate cake that was totally awesome!

There is tons of parking and it is easy to get to from the main street.

One of Our Favorites — Quality in Every Detail

This restaurant is definitely on our favorites list. Every time we go, the experience is consistently excellent — and that’s no coincidence. Everything we’ve tried so far has been incredibly well-prepared, using high-quality ingredients and showing real attention to detail.

Personally, I’m a huge fan of their crab cake. It’s one of the few places where you actually taste the crab meat — tender, flavorful, with just the right amount of binding. Unlike many other places where it’s mostly flour (and ends up tasting like a bland doughy cake), here it’s all about the meat, and I love that.

For my husband, who prefers meat dishes, the steaks are top-notch — fresh, tender, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. Even when ordered well done (my personal preference), the meat stays juicy and delicious, which is rare to find.

Now let’s talk about desserts. My all-time favorite is the Door County Cherry Pie — absolutely delicious. They also have a seasonal chocolate dessert with fresh whipped cream, usually available starting in October. It’s only once a year, but totally worth the wait. We even check online to find out when it’s back on the menu!

Sometimes we go there just for dessert and coffee — and yes, even the coffee is excellent. It’s hard to find a good cup of coffee in restaurants, but theirs is rich, smooth, and pairs perfectly with dessert.

All in all, I highly recommend this place. It’s one of those restaurants that’s worth spending a little more — because the food, the atmosphere, and the overall experience make it truly worthwhile.

Started with cups of lentil / vegetable soup. Very tasty and not too salty. We both had the halibut with asparagus and baked potato. The Portions, temp, seasoning on all the food was perfect . Halibut was cooked perfectly. We also carried out a 3rd entree for another person.

Our server- Archie- was very good: attentive, knowledgeable , cordial. My fellow diner was an older adult and Archie was very patient and accommodating. He knelt down and spoke directly when he explained the specials and answered their questions. My only comment on the service was that it felt rushed at the end: the check was delivered while we were still eating and then Archie’m checked back to see if we were ready to pay.

My only complaint is that wildfire —and I believe all LEY (lettuce entertain you) restaurants – try to pass on a junk / sham 3% surcharge that is not called out by the server or via signage at the table. Instead it’s buried as the last item on the check and as a footnote at the bottom of the receipt. The footnote says it to offset rising costs and it will be removed if you ask. The way that well-run restaurants offset rising costs is by increasing their prices …. not by pulling a fast one . Bogus and disappointing.
