This was possibly the worse steak ive ever had and thats comparing to Applebee’s and big chain restaurants. The Top sirloin was completely full of gristle and had to spit out multiple bites. Got it to go so not driving back to return and waste more money on gas

Update: plastic fork they gave broke and couldnt even eat half the steak due to pure gristle

We visited Saltgrass on a Sunday evening. We made a reservation ahead of time, but they were not very busy. Service was quick and friendly, from drinks to entrees, everything flowed smoothly. We enjoyed a variety of dishes including Pat’s Ribeye, chicken fried chicken, and ribs. All hot, fresh, and cooked perfectly. The atmosphere was relaxed, and our waiter was attentive without being overbearing. The only odd thing was the placement of a large Saltgrass sign in the driveway, oddly surrounded by an orange barricade, which made parking in front a little tricky. Otherwise, a great dinner experience!

I had the shrimp, feta, artichoke pasta on the lunch menu and it was delicious!

It was a little loud, but not overly so, about what you’d expect for a busy restaurant. Just made it a little hard to hear my coworker every once in a while.
Food was great, service was awesome, definitely coming back soon!

The food here was really good however it is very pricey. I recommend one of the smaller stake meals. As it has a better price yet still being large enough to south hunger.

What started out at a small gathering of about 4-5 people, quickly grew to 15 people. We started out planning to meet at a different location, but they couldn’t accommodate the large group at the requested time. No biggie, we understood it was a big ask for a Saturday night. However, the team at the location near North Star Mall came to the rescue. All of us were able to gather comfortably to celebrate our friend. The food and drinks were delicious. Definitely try the Watermelon Fresca w/ a Tajin rim! The table ordered everything from chicken tenders, to pork chops, to shrimp, steak and ribs. We had two servers, but the one who tended to our side of the table was Trinity and she was/is a ROCK STAR. She caught the vibe of our group and fell right into making it a memorable experience for us. Aside from the food and drinks, she also served up stellar customer service, then went above and beyond that, by serving up great pictures for us. At our request, she captured memories of our group together. Thank you Trinity. Thank you to the manager for not booting us out when the restaurant closed. Thank you to the staff for not hitting us with the side-eye, while waiting for us to leave, so you close down properly. We truly appreciate the experience and the service.

We usually ask for Lexi but we don’t always get her. Whenever we do, it’s the best experience. She’s funny and makes us feel comfortable and at home every time. Some days the food is alright but when it’s good it’s GOOD. It just depends honestly. Highly recommend trying the porterhouse and the Oscar toppings.

Typical Texas Steak House and no disappointment.
Food Quality and variety as you can expect in anyone. Service was exceptional. Food Presentation was as expected, clean dining experience. The interior is Generously distributed throughout the restaurants in the wall ceiling of a cattle Texas environment, including the fireplace.

Large menu with something for everyone. Nice environment (after we asked them to lower the volume so we could carry on a conversation). They were nice about our request as we were on asking. Steaks were perfectly grilled, shrimp and pasta dishes were so fresh. Love the bread. Our server kept up with us, never rushed or bobbled orders and very nice. All eight of us had a great holiday gathering.

I recently placed a to-go order from Saltgrass Steakhouse in San Antonio, and overall, the food was excellent, but the service could use some polishing—especially when it comes to the takeout experience.

To start, I called to place my order, and no one answered the first time. I called again, and someone picked up quickly, which was fine. I ordered the 12 oz ribeye steak with loaded mashed potatoes, sweet potato fries, an additional side of a sweet potato (yes, I really like sweet potatoes), and tortilla soup.

When I arrived, I wasn’t sure where to go for pickup. I asked the young guy at the front, and he looked confused, like maybe they don’t get many takeout orders. He told me to head to the back near the bar. Once back there, there wasn’t really a clear area to stand for pickup—it felt like I was awkwardly in the way of diners and bar guests, which made the experience a little uncomfortable.

I eventually asked a bartender if my order was ready, and he checked—turned out it still needed about 10 more minutes, which I didn’t mind. When my food was finally ready, a young woman handed it to me and asked if I had paid. I said no, and she seemed flustered and nervously said, “OK, don’t go anywhere,” which was a little odd. Of course, I wasn’t going to leave without paying, but it just felt like the takeout process lacked a clear system and training.

That said, the food itself was fantastic. The ribeye was juicy, tender, and had a great balance of fat and flavor. The loaded mashed potatoes were rich and creamy, and the cinnamon butter that came with the sweet potato was next-level good—seriously, I’d come back just for that. The tortilla soup was flavorful too, and a nice touch.

One small note: if you order online, it only gives you the option of potato soup. But if you call in, they’ll offer you either potato or tortilla soup. That inconsistency was a bit strange, and it’d be nice if the online system gave all the options.

Overall, I’ll definitely be back because the food is worth it. I just hope they improve the to-go process—it felt a bit like an afterthought, which took away from what was otherwise a great meal.
