I had the beef teriyaki sushi roll, and it was delicious but too big to eat in one bite – and I’ve had my share of large sushi rolls! They have croquette which is my favourite appetizer and it was pretty dang tasty, but I have had better, lending to the 4 instead of 5 star review.
The atmosphere was cozy and lovely, the staff was very friendly and polite, and the restaurant was very clean. Would definitely come back for more!

The atmosphere is cute. The staff are lovely. The sushi is decent but reminiscent of the cheaper sushi restaurants in the city due to the quality of the ingredients they use. That said, their prices recently went up to the point of being not worth dining here anymore. but I’m not paying 8$ plus for an avocado or yam roll. The average price per person should be changed to 20-30$ per person.

First time visiting on Dec. 23. Service was excellent! Awesome menu selection! Thoroughly enjoyed the lunch! Look forward to coming back in near future to sample more of that awesome menu. Oh the salmon teriyaki was fantastic! Definitely recommend that!

This place has been around forever and I popped for a vegetarian lunch. The sushi presentation was adorable. There are a million sushi places with the exact same looking plates, but this was the first time I had my sushi presented in a cute little flower. It tasted great as well. The salad was super colourful and delicious and I even ate the little lemons and enjoyed them. Excited to come back and have another cute little tasty meal.
(The server was absolutely lovely, but she took the order of a person who was seated at a table after me and there was a few minute delay in taking my order with only bothered my because I was starving and a bit hangry lol)

Excellent quality and value! I picked up a few rolls for my son before his next swim session at Walnut Grove Rec Centre. Their app was easy to use and navigate. Appreciate that when you are short on time. The next time, we will dine in as the premises were worthy of a sit down.

We ordered take out from Sushi Asakusa and it was okay. Portions were decent. We had the assorted sushi, prawn tempura and the spring rolls. The assorted sushi could use some more variety and the spring rolls were a bit out of place (I’d recommend removing these from the menu because they’re more of a Chinese dish rather than Japanese, but that’s just my opinion).

I’ve eaten here many times and must say the service and quality of food is excellent. Usually I do take out but have eaten in the restaurant too. Their online order site makes it easy to place an order and pay for it. Serving size are decent. Will fill most people. If you’re in a rush or want something different, this is the place to go. I was hungry and forgot to take a photo of the meal. Next time I will.

A decent sushi restaurant in Richmond with the standard selection of rolls along with a couple variations of their own. The special rolls were all a bit sauce heavy but not too bad. The seared salmon roll was probably my favorite of the bunch but it was just some seared salmon on rice. Some of their lunch combos included a skewer of yakitori which I rarely see in these restaurants.
Pricing is similar to what you’d expect from a place in West Vancouver, take that as you will. I liked the interior decor of the place.
Overall, I don’t have many complaints about the place… but nothing popped out at me either.

Sushi Asakusa truly exceeded my expectations!
Every piece of sushi was incredibly fresh, perfectly aged, and beautifully crafted. The chef’s attention to detail and thoughtful explanations made the whole dining experience even more special. Each plate was not only delicious but also a work of art.
The service was exceptionally warm and attentive, making us feel comfortable from start to finish. The cozy atmosphere is perfect for dates, celebrations, or simply treating yourself to something extraordinary.

One of my all time favorite places to eat, the staff couldn’t be more friendly and the food tastes great! Would recommend the udon to anyone! Will always come back, definitely my comfort food.
