Excellent! Traveling through area and happened on this place. This diner is in the middle of a big shopping plaza but has the classic retro diner look and feel with a counter and lots of polished stainless steel. Food delicious and made with lots of organic and locally sourced produce eggs and meats. Definitely not your greasy spoon but an elevated diner experience.

I was happy to find the Silver Diner after a long day of travel with little options for gluten free food along the way. The Diner had many options from breakfasts to dinners to burgers to soups, and even dessert. Gluten free was even included in their lunch specials and seasonal offerings. The staff took time with me to go through the menu and highlight the dishes that are gluten free by nature and those that can be made gluten free with a substitute. They also took initiative to understand and communicate to the kitchen staff that my order was gluten free due to an allergy. Substituting gluten free bread/buns was an extra fee of $1.95. The lunch specials were menu items at a good discount. I had the salmon lunch special (naturally gluten free) for at least $5 off what it is typically. We arrived toward the end of the lunch special hours and there were people consistently arriving to eat but not big crowds by any means.

One of my favorite diners in the area! I usually go here when I’m seeing a concert in Baltimore or at Merriweather Post Pavilion. The service is top notch. Clean restaurant. Attentive staff. The food is very good. I suggest also getting desert when you are dining here too. I recommend the bread pudding! So delicious!

We stopped at Silver Diner after a long day with the kids, expecting a typical roadside diner breakfast all day, greasy comfort food, and quick service. Instead, we walked into a full farm-to-table menu with dishes you’d expect from a high-end restaurant, not a chrome-trimmed diner off the highway.
I ordered the Wagyu Chopped Steak, made with Snake River Farms wagyu, served over garlic spinach and roasted tomatoes with truffle-dill mashed potatoes, peas, mushrooms, and a horseradish demi-glace. Absolutely incredible rich, tender, and way beyond diner food.
My wife had the Allen Farms Chicken Pot Pie, filled with roasted chicken, mushrooms, basil, peas, roasted squash and corn, scallions, tarragon, and topped with a flaky buttery crust. Easily one of the best pot pies we’ve ever had.
And for dessert, the Banana Nutella Salted Caramel Shake was unreal creamy banana, warm Nutella, and ribbons of salted caramel. Worth the stop all by itself.
If you’re traveling through Maryland, don’t let the “diner” sign fool you this place is a gem. Highly recommend.

Absolutely beautiful ambiance and service. Martin was an INCREDIBLE server, so kind, enthusiastic, thoughtful. He went above and beyond and literally made a lasting impression on me, he was absolutely unforgettable. Silver Diner is SO lucky to have him and get to work with him.

My husband and I had lunch here yesterday. It was so good! The staff at the Elkridge Silver Diner is very friendly. We mentioned to our waitress that we are new to the area and it was our first time visiting that restaurant. She told the manager about us and he came over to introduce himself. Just lovely people. And the food was excellent! Lots to choose from, very fresh and delicious, and the prices are quite reasonable. There are many healthy options. I plan to bring friends and family who are vegetarians because I know they would love it, but there really is something for everyone. We plan to be regulars. Highly recommend!

Our group went for an impromptu lunch at the Silver Diner located in the Gateway Overlook shopping center in Elkridge. It’s one of our go to places especially for one of our members who is vegan and she can usually find something that fits her diet choice.
New seasonal Blue Plate
BUDGET-FRIENDLY specials are available Weekdays 11am – 4pm, Dine-in only.
Two of us selected the Pastrami Reuben sandwich which came with a hill high portion of nice crispy bits of French fries that tasted freshly made. The only thing I wished for was that there be less stringiness to the pastrami.
There was also the Shrimp Quesadilla and the vegan eater changed her diet and chose the Alaskan Cod and Chips.
Everyone enjoyed their meal and our wait staff person was very nice. We went on a Thursday lunch hour which was not too busy with minimal waiting.

I went to breakfast at Silver Diner this weekend and was pleasantly surprised. The service has improved a lot compared to my previous visits. The staff was attentive and the food came out quickly. A very friendly Hispanic waitress took care of us and made the experience even better. The whole place felt much more organized. Definitely a great spot for a relaxed weekend breakfast.

We ordered the Avocado toast with eggs and potatoes, The American with Ham, eggs, potatoes and Bagel and we also tried their bread pudding. Everything was delicious!
