This truly is a little hidden gem, tucked in with Starbucks and the gas station @ Higgins Corner (Wolf and Combie). We ordered the carnitas plate which was big enough to share, in our case, provided dinner as well. Hubby had fish tacos with cabbage, loved ’em! Lady’s little 9 year old greeted us, brought water, adorable!!! Highly recommend!!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at El Agave Taqueria in Grass Valley, and I must say, their carne asada burrito was one of the best I’ve ever had! The flavors were incredibly rich and authentic, and they happily accommodated my request to add grilled serranos inside, which gave it that perfect extra kick. Every bite was packed with deliciousness. I’ll definitely be coming back for more! Highly recommend for anyone craving quality Mexican food.

Friendly greeting. Both from front staff and delicious smells.
Chips are crispy and taste fresh. Salsa is medium heat with good flavor. Guacamole tastes amazing and fresh. Has hints of cilantro which I LOVE!
I ordered the shrimp tacos. Two good size tacos with 6-7 well seasoned shrimp per taco. My opinion of the beans is that they could use a bit more flavor. They had a bit of a soapy taste to them. The rice was good!
The service was friendly and professional. I didn’t feel smothered or neglected, just right.
Overall, a lovely evening in a local family favorite. I will be back. Thanks, El Agave.

This place is GOOD. We have eaten at many mexican restaurants but this place is def in top 2. We had the wet burrito and chimichanga. Very good. If you stop here, you wont be disappointed.
