Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

Reviews
The fries are crispy and perfectly salted, and the signature sauces add that extra flavor Whataburger is known for. Portion sizes are generous, so you definitely get your money’s worth.
Overall, Whataburger delivers consistent quality, bold flavors, and true Texas-style comfort food. If you’re craving a satisfying meal that hits the spot, Whataburger is always a solid choice.
While regular cleaning does occur, deep cleaning is typically delayed until upper management announces an upcoming visit, rather than being done consistently. Management practices show clear favoritism, and staffing is poorly managed. Employees frequently experience significant cuts to their hours due to constant over-hiring. There is a strong emphasis on speed of service, often at the expense of order accuracy and quality.
The back storage area is very disorganized, making it difficult to work efficiently and safely. Employees are required to ask permission to use the restroom and may be reprimanded if they take too long, even when delays are caused by lines. There is only one male and one female restroom, and the male restroom often has a persistent odor.
Overall, these issues reflect poor management priorities and a lack of consistency in cleanliness, organization, and employee treatment, which ultimately impacts the customer experience.
I didnt go back because I had to walk there.
