This place is hands down the best place I have ever been to in Missouri. Totally blown away with the food and our server Sarah. Sarah you were great went above and beyond. Your recommendations were spot on. Absolutely delicious, this is a place I will be craving often. Can’t wait to come back. Do yourself a favor and eat here!!! There is no better. The local beer was delicious and loved every minute we had here.

There’s no lack of places around St.Louis to get good BBQ and smoked foods. To stand out, you have to do things a bit differently and a bit better than the competition. The Shaved Duck didn’t just provide a great dining experience. They provided a memorable one! The kind where you can’t wait to go back. Service was friendly and attentive. Great neighborhood feeling. The food? Truly unique and uniquely tasty!
I had a beer while contemplating the options. Started with the Duck Chili. Flavorful, unique and warm-spicey, not heat for heats sake. Pulled pork was some of the best I’ve had in recent memory. The creamed corn was excellent. What sealed the deal for me was the Smoked Meatloaf.
Prices are a little more than average for BBQ but when you experience the quality and uniquely memorable flavors, you won’t mind.

Excellent atmosphere. Excellent service. 5 star food! We really enjoyed ourselves. The burger and the pork sandwich were excellent. The fries are delicious too. This is real cooking and for a great price (seriously about as much as a Red Robin etc and way better). The service was excellent too. The waiter was extremely friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed ourselves. I would highly recommend this place.

Enjoyed the entire dinning experience! Food was delicious! Really enjoyed the collard greens, Pulled pork, Tri-tops, Meatloaf, and jalapeño cheddar sausage. Kristine, our server, was very helpful answering our questions and making sure that we didn’t need anything. She then suggested the peach cobbler! Wow! The peach cobbler was amazing!

Stopped here on a whim as we were passing through town and it was certainly worth the detour. Our server, Kristine, is a gem! She is knowledge about the menu and gave great recommendations. The food is delicious! The smothered fries were incredible with perfectly melted cheese sauce and a generous pile of meat atop fries that would shine on their own. Two of us could have walked away satisfied with just that as our meal. Round two was a combo plate with tri-tip and pulled chicken, which allowed us to get into the fantastic assortment of bbq sauces. The carmash potatoes were a real hit, too. Nothing disappointing about this dining experience except we couldn’t stay long enough for the live music. We’ll be back next time we make it to St. Louis.

This place was nothing short of perfection! On the drive there we were a little skeptical but I’m glad we went. The atmosphere was amazing, service was amazing, and the food was absolutely AMAZING! The sauces were all so delicious it was hard to choose just one and we even paid extra for a few specialty sauces because they were so delicious as well! 5 out of 5 stars! Can’t wait to go back!

The menu hits that perfect balance of classic barbecue and creative twists, and everything we tried was melt-in-your-mouth good. We ended up coming back three times in one week; which should tell you everything you need to know about how dangerously addictive this place is.
You can tell the team takes real pride in their craft, from how the food looks to how genuinely they take care of their guests. The burnt ends? Unreal. The sides? Just as impressive. (Pro tip: don’t skip the mac and cheese. Seriously, don’t.)
They’ve also got a solid drink selection that pairs perfectly with all the smoky goodness.

Best barbecue I’ve ever had, we will be coming back to try more! Beef rib was perfect, best smoked chicken. It feels home cooked and the sides finally taste fresh compared to other bbq spots around the city. 12/10
