Sad to say they’ve gone way downhill since COVID. Prices are up, portions are down, and the flavor is gone. I don’t think they really care about in-house diners anymore and just sling to-go via the apps where people don’t care. They have listed the business for sale at least once so I think they are just done.

As far as I know, House of Thai 1 on Geary is still good.

I recently tried the Pad See Ew at this restaurant, and while the texture of the dish was spot on, the flavor was a complete miss for me. The noodles were cooked to perfection, and the chicken was soft and delicious. The vegetables were a bit on the hard side but still edible.

However, my biggest issue was the taste. I was expecting the usual slightly sweet, well-balanced flavor, but instead, this version had an overwhelming smoky, charbroiled taste. It was nothing like any Pad See Ew I’ve ever had before. While I ate it, it wasn’t what I wanted or expected. If I were to dine here again, I’d definitely order something else.

Really good food. $27.16 (pre-tip) for a bowl and sticky rice is a lot, but good food.

I got red curry here after Danny Coyles and it was amazing, very flavorful with lots of veggies. I ate every bite. Service was super quick. Will come again to try something else.

If I could give zero stars, I would.
I’m honestly not sure what I walked into, but calling it a “Thai restaurant” feels like false advertising. The pad thai tasted like someone described the concept of Thai food to a microwave and then walked away halfway through. The noodles were somehow both soggy and crunchy, which I didn’t even know was physically possible.
The curry arrived lukewarm, as if it had been sitting in the corner contemplating its life choices. The vegetables were cut into shapes that suggested the chef had given up halfway through the shift. And the “spicy” level? Let’s just say I’ve had tap water with more personality.
The service was downright rude – not just inattentive, but openly dismissive, as if customers were an inconvenience rather than the reason the place exists. Our server disappeared for ages and then returned with the energy of someone doing us a favor by acknowledging our existence.

We had a very pleasant dinning experience. The Pad Thai was very flavorful and great portion size for the price. The kitchen and dining area was very clean. Employees were friendly. There is a bike rack station cross the street by CVS if you are on bike.

This review base on one visit and one order – the coconut milk Tom sea food soup. I really love the vibe Of this place but the sea food in the soup is not fresh, it is actually of bad and smells so I could not even finish it.

Very friendly service and it looks like a family kitchen, the chef is very friendly.

Maybe I will try again but different dish for sure.

Food was very bland the garlic rice didn’t taste garlicky at all. Prices are ok but the food wasn’t good I tried a variety of things and the best thing was cucumber salad. Will not be returning

Solid, reliable restaurant to meet any Thai food cravings you may have. Tasty dishes, with pumpkin curry, pad see ew, and chan pad poo (not what it sounds like–these are yummy noodles with crab!) among my very favorites. Probably the “worst” thing about this place is the spice that gets into your nostrils as you walk in, as the kitchen is literally by the door. I have never ordered to go, so that may be a different experience, but all the experiences I have had here are positive ones.

A good Thai place at a reasonable price. I’ve had it for delivery and for dine-in and both are good experiences. The crab fried rice is my favorite.
